It's disappointing if he can't play on as it was a tackle whilst kicking and he had both feet in the air. It's been said for a while at some point something bad will come of that kind of situation. There you go RFL. One of the games all time greats limps off maybe to not play again.

Seem to remember him struggling after taking a late hit off a kick in the playoff vs Catalans last year. Does seem a ploy by players, don't fly into a kicker and give away a penalty but just catch their leg slightly. Think Albert Kelly's injury that he had strapped up a Wembley came off an almost identical incident.

Reports are it's a bad dead leg, which may be painful but isn't serious. Drain a bit of blood and he should be fine for next week, if that's all it is.

Not always that straightforward. Wasn't the injury that saw him depart the 2010 WCC early a bad dead leg? He missed the next four weeks I think.

Have to say, my first thoughts were dead leg and if it is he would/should be back for play offs at least.Lets hope ( ) , it is.

My initial impression was a hamstring pull as I missed the late 'tackle' cos I was following the play. If it's a dead leg then that is prob better. A hamstring pull would almost certainly have seen him miss the rest of the season.
