| It is not known on Ballin until he has a scan tomorrow. Then it is six months, back just after start of season.

| It has to be Beau Falloon if only for the name.
I do like the idea of Faux Balloon, pure comedy genius.
Who cares if he can play or not?
PS that may just be the extremely good bottle of Albarino I've just had with my dinner.

| I'd take any of the players mentioned so far over what we have at the club at the minute.

| If you are throwing in Clarkson as left field although he is signing for HKR thanks to JP.
What about Keinhorst?
Worth a try at some time maybe?

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

| Quote: Juan Cornetto "Many regard Houghton as a "proper hooker" because he has a high tackle count but his distribution on Friday was poor and played a part in their defeat. Hull fans regularly criticism him for bad options and passes. The distribution and dummy runs are more important than the tackling.
The modern 9 is expected to be up with every PTB on attack and make more tackles than the other forwards when on defense with the result that a bench place has to be tied up with a reserve 9. I do not see why the 9 cannot play the full 80 and make much fewer tackles but have the 4th bench spot filled with a high tackling forward. We expect too much from our 9s who are really halfbacks and not built for heavy tackling work.'"
Summed Houghton up well there,we should have kept Heremia and let Houghton go.

| Here's a left field one, assuming they don't get promoted.
Bob Beswick for a couple of years. Clever player, bit of a kicking game out of dummy half, good defender.

| If we were going for a championship hooker then I'd rather have Adam Obrien from Bradford.

| I'd prefer a genuine hooker. If we were to manufacture one then Keinhorst could be the best bet, mainly because he has good hands and seems to have a good rugby brain.

| No way should we try to turn Clarkson into a hooker, we need a proper established one.
If he hasn't already signed for HKR then I would say it'd be a wise move now to bring him back to effectively take JJB's spot in the squad as it'll be hard to find a replacement for him for next year in the possible event that he retires or barely plays.

| Jesus, where have we come to. Clarkson, Keinhorst, Beswick, O'Brien, oh jesus wept. If we were really going for such desperate options as that, what the hell is wrong in backing our own player in Robbie Ward. He might well prove not to be up to it, but my god he is a damn site better option than those suggested.
What happened to those saying Ballin was our man?

injured at the weekend he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament means he could be out for 6 to 8 months depending and how he heals and gets back in traing

Yes but six months out at this stage of season, is hardly as bad as going with the options suggested. Would rather go with that and trust in Ward in the meantime.

| Maybe Brierley will spend some time at 9 with Sutcliffe and McGuire in the halves.

| Balin runs a personal training business away from RL so I'd assume he'll leave no stone unturned in his recovery - it certainly wouldn't put me off signing him as he's far and away the best out there in terms of availability and names mentioned, however I still don't think he'd come to the UK. His PT business is well established and I doubt he'd move to the other side of the world and leave that behind, plus I'm sure he'll have plenty of suitors in the NRL - he's probably still one of the top hookers in the game.
