| We've had two years of Carney, Clarke and the other clowns at Sky climbing up Koukash's backside. I honestly thought I was the only person who thought the fella is a joke. I'm so glad someone like Mac has come out and said this about Koukash.

| I actually thought they were trying for the period up to 18/24-0....we just threw it around at a speed they couldn't contain and Morley getting himself binned shot them in the foot. From after that point particularly the 2nd half some of the efforts for the tries we scored were embarrassing from a defensive POV....I think my Gran could've broken through those 'tackle' attempts from the Salford players in the 2nd half.

| Among his many other talents Koukash also appears to have written his own Wikipedia page
What is difficult to understand is why a self proclaimed top notch businessman with a self worth of between $900million and $3billion (thats a big range Marwan, can you narrow it down a bit, maybe be a bit more accurate or do your assets fluctuate daily by 300% or so), why this ace businessman cannot run a sporting club like a business, because thats what it is.
I have run my own business and anyone else who does the same knows that you have three things to watch, your income and your expenses and the most important your ego, don't go signing a lease on that £80,000 Mercedes "because you deserve it" when your profits are turning into losses.
So you have a business with a fairly static income, a known income and a potential to increase that income by offering a good product, but your baseline is covered by a donation from sponsors every year which is something that not many businesses have the luxury of - where do you fook up so badly when you start from that point ?
The ego kicks in, thats how.

For koukash its all about ego. For a man worth so much to buy a sports clubs is his plaything. Therefore is entirely about ego.

| He's not worth that much. He lets people think he's worth that much, it's written on forums and by pliant journalists. There are plenty of wealthier men who've been involved in RL (Caddick, Davy, Fulton) without shouting about their supposed wealth. Any long term followers of Leeds United knew exactly how Salford would end up the minute Koukash walked in the door.

| Whilst I agree with the our esteemed coaches comments, surely the salford players should accept some responsibility for last nights performance , or lack of.
After all they are proffesional sportsmen, presumably the majority of them are reasonably well paid.

Firstly fair play to McDermott, I agree 100% with his comments.
What you appear to forget is the state Salford were in before Koukash took over. The club was in a complete mess and close to going under. What a shame that after all the money he has spent we are still in a mess. As a Salford I am almost past caring.

| I am a Salford fan and I was at the game last night, I would like to say I totally agree with Brian Mc, he has hit the nail on the head the sooner Dr K shuts up and let's Rugby people run the team the better.
I would also like to say what a great organisation Leeds Rhinos are, great team,Stadium, Staff and of course the fans, I wish you all the best in the top 8.

| I said it about Adam Pearson when he took over at FC and said the same about Dr Gobsh##e clueless business men should never come into a sport they know naff all about and scream as loud as possible about A.What they are going to do and how good their teams will be and B.Slag off people who have been running successful Clubs within that sport for years.
Kockrash is f'kin idiot with a big gob and a reckless way of throwing a few quid around then bemoaning his costs and winding up orders when its revealed how reckless he was when avoiding due diligence or hiring a monkey to do it for him.
Good on Mc.D for speaking out i also notice Gobsh##e has yet to produce a S.Burgess or Sonny Bill type signing he boasted about should the Marquee rule get the ok.

Adam Pearson is anything but a "clueless business man".

This.
I agree with what he said. I am glad someone high profile in RL has said it.
But the Leeds coach shouldn't be involving himself in other clubs affairs in this manner.

| I think his comments were more intended as a motion of support for the Salford players, what McDermott knows a lot about is motivation and management of professional yet often very young and impressionable players, impressionable also means easily distracted, let down and demoralised - thats where his comments were aimed because he knows what those players had coming when their self proclaimed billionaire gets to speak to them.

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"

Like I said recently, I admire Mcdermotts honesty, he doesn't say things just to be liked. On this occasion though, I couldn't understand why he was so passionate in his criticism of another clubs owner. As our club coach I don't think it his job to spend too much time considering the welfare of other clubs and their players, it's tough enough coping with his own group of players and their welfare. If he was commenting on another club for the benefit of the Rhinos, i.e, slating Wigan for teaching nasty tackling techniques, or slating an opposing club's owner for unsettling one of our own players say, then I'd be more than happy for him to comment so passionately. If he felt the need to get that off his chest last night, it is his decision to do so, but I would rather he spoke passionately on issues to benefit or concerning our own club.

In a roundabout way, isn't that what his comments were doing? I know Leeds don't necessarily have the same issues at the top right now but in some way is he not underlining that the way it is ran at Leeds is of benefit and needs to stay as such, in case maybe there is a sense a little behind the scenes that circumstances are moving very, very slightly towards the Salford side of the spectrum a couple of notches?
ie. 'Koukash is a joke and it is his fault' means just that but is also code for saying 'if Leeds, or any other club (if I have / am being nudged towards the door) think of running things like that they can jog on and I will be off as it won't work...'
