| Sad to hear of him leaving the game of rugby league,
and going to rugby union.
fantastic player, and professional.
Good luck in his new quest.

Gutted.. so gutted.... I can appreciate that this gives him more time on the field playing yawnian and allow him to earn more for longer but I am still gutted.
Sutcliffe is a great prospect but I hope Kev is going to train him on kicking really hard as it need some refining.
Its the end of another Leeds era.'"
Well the one good thing is that he's not moving away and he's playing for Carnegie and will still be around Headingley and Kirkstall and as he says in the interview on the Rhinos site, if those young guys ever want to come to him for advice or anything he's still going to be nearby for that.
Sinfield and Peacock going together.....don't know what the final home game of the season will be but can see it being a monster attendance to see these two guys for the final time, maybe the first 20,000+ gate in the league since Bradford's glory days,

| Does nobody else think this is a strange move?
Granted he will be on good money, and fair dos as he has no doubt passed on more lucrative opportunities to stay at Leeds over the years.
However, in 18 months he won't do much in union. His kicking isn't up to it at fly half, he isn't quick enough for the backs or big/skilled enough for the forwards.
He has earnt the right to do as he pleases in the twilight of his career but to me this will be a slow sad end to a wonderful career.

Hasn't he spent most of his career with the too slow not big enough argument? He hasn't done too bad considering!
Good luck from a Wakefield fan, been a credit to both the Leeds club and the game overall.

| This is great for Liam Sutcliffe, but awful for the Rhinos. Him and JP leaving at the same time is going to make it a massive task to finish in the play-offs.

| Be interesting to see who we try and bring in.Personally i would like to see Sutcliffe given the 6 shirt but with Sinfield and JP off the books at the same time would surely give us enough cash to go for a high profile forward which is what i would like to see us do.

This is the most worrying aspect for next year. Talk about transition!

| My best memory was at the mcalpine when he kicked a touch line conversion to take the game into extra time!

Promote Sutcliffe and, as you say, use the space on a top notch forward to add to Cuthbertson, Singleton and the juniors they're bringing through. A monster pack will help young halves develop better whereas a poor pack will not help a marquee half back.

| Listening to the interview with GH on the Rhinos website he makes it sound very much like that we'll go with Sutcliffe and not recruiting for that particular position.

| The team will miss Sinny for sure, but he was due to be gone after next year if this move to Union had not come up. Yep it will be tough to replace Sir Kev and JP, but we all knew it was coming including GH et al, so hopefully a succession plan is in place and we will move onward an upward after a brief (fingers crossed) period of transition.

Given that we already have space for a decent signing (the spare 25 shirt from the start of the season) plus JP, Sir Kev and Kylie off the books you'd think there was room for more than one boom player.
