Unquestioning sycophantic loyalty by plenty.'"
Nope i was referring to your good self.
You are clearly a very knowledgeable person when it comes to RL and its history and every now and then you can display some very worthy debate.it is a shame you have to resort to your childish ramblings on most occasions that people round these parts have become all too familiar with.

| Back on topic, the only really good players on the list are Carney, Clark and Sims. Albert Kelly could be a star in SL. The rest are OK or blah.
Wigan - lots of good young kids and look to have the measure of us, plus have added Tautai the prop from Wakey
Saints - won the comp without a number of players and were great early in the season - signed Burns from KR and
Wire - signed Clark and Sims to what's already a good team
Hudds - added Huby and rumoured to be getting the cod head prop from Wigan, but I think they're also dropping back
Catalan - knocked us out this year and have added Carney
Hull KR - signing the whole world it seems
Hull - Sneyd and Minichello are good signings - Pryce not so

Don't beat around the bush.....he's a lonely di**head
A point scoring one at that too
For all he criticises those who will follow and buy Season Tickets next year as blindly following their club, this comes from a man who seemingly hasn't really enjoyed British RL for at least 20+ years yet still follows its every moment.......hypocrisy by plenty!
William is actually the biggest sheep on this board, he just doesn't realise it apparently.

Certainly feels like we're getting closer to the 2 Hull teams than Wigan, Saints and Wire. God forbid Peacock or Sinfield were to get injured....'"
I must say as the longer this goes it looks like GH is painting himself into a corner. Its looking like all the old guard are going within two years of each other.I would like to have clue as to what he has up his sleeve

| If this is our final squad & Coaching staff rosta for 2015 then i dont see us getting into the top 4 i hope to be proved wrong but whilst we see plenty of "numbers" in the squad i think the quality is lacking.
I also think the Coach ran out of ideas towards the end of the season & his "Machines" ran out of petrol.
I dont doubt on our day we would be capable of beating anyone but it's getting more and more a "one off" rather than consistent top 3/4 challengers.
No matter how "close" the table may have looked during that last 3 months the CC and a heroic 12 man effort v ST's aside on the pitch we were way off imo.
I think this "gamble" that GH appears to be taking is one too many but i look forward to seeing the likes of Walters ,R.Ward ,Sutcliffe & Mulhern etc hopefully progress into better and more regular 1st team players but then again will the Coach utilise and "Coach" them in their natural positions?

| I knew who they were referring to - and the point still stands.
He has an opinion - and it's as valid as anybody else's.

Think that's a good summary - on our day, we're in with a chance, but not consistently. Also, in the past, if we played to our potential, nobody could get near us - now, I'm not so sure that our best performance is a good as a Wigan or Wire top performance. So even in the 1 off games, we need to be at our best, and they need to be slightly down.
I don't see any juniors demanding a position, but then they're not been given a chance to do that by the coach. And I can't see that changing next year - we need to make the top 4 and we're gonna have a fight on our hands to do that, so I just can't see McD going with anybody but his 'tried and tested'.

It's a fair point. I still think the signing improves the pack. With the additions of the young players Mulhern, baldwinson etc.
but as a whole team we probably are marginally worse or stationary. My main concern is we appear to have heads in the sand regarding some difficult transitions that need to happen soon. And the biggest negative for me is the coaching. Not saying McDermott out but I think at the least would like to see some fresh ideas come into the team with an addition of a assistant coach. The assistant role seems a bit ad hoc at the moment

I don't see them being given a chance. We have peacock and cuthbertson next year as good starting props. The other senior props offer nothing for me. Def think 2015 is a couple of years too much for Kyle. Unless he is used sparingly. Bailey and kirke for me offer very little and I would move them on soon. At the very least would have Mulhern, singleton (with some fitness work in the off season) and even baldwinson.

The next cringeworthy real time invented twitter feed is earmarked for Wed 4th Feb with a kick off time of 8pm to celebrate half the opposition first team squad remaining in Australia whilst Braith Anasta wishes he'd done the same as he limps off for good after just a few minutes.
@leeeeeedsrhinoooos [iAnd from a penalty for holding down, WALKER HAS SCORED! Collects pass from McGuire and cuts inside past shambolic Luke Patten for Rhinos 1st try converted by Sinfield. Rhinos lead 6-0 after 5 mins #SuperRhinos05 #WCC05 #PrinceKev #FutureKingKev #WorthyCringe #etc[/i'"

Bailey and Kirke are obviously seen as a safe pair of hands to hold the fort whilst JP and Kylie have a rest - the offer nothing in attack, but don't drop the ball too often, and make a decent number of tackles - which is fine, but surely we should be aspiring to more from our bench - we want some impact, a lift to the team.
Singleton surely has to be 3rd in line, yes he'll make some mistakes, but it's the only way he'll improve - from both a technical and fitness perspective. No amount of training offers the same benefits of match fitness - getting used to that 2nd wind and pushing on is what builds a players stamina and mental agility when tired.
I'd much rather go down fighting as a result of mistakes from a youngster who's trying to make an impact than fall by the wayside as also rans who's 'steady eddies' weren't quite good enough.

Singleton for me needs to bulk up. Carrying too much timber for me. But yes I agree needs some game time all these up and coming props need the time ahead of bailey and kirke for me

A general election is clearly looming.
Tough on trolls,
Tough on the causes of trolls.
"Prosecution awaits" according to Richard Madeley in that link above. He ought to know. Wasn't he once acquitted of walking out of Tesco with sundry bottles of wine he hadn't paid for?
