| Quote: Him "Unless Hardaker has a knock I don't see much benefit in dropping him. In fact I'd make him captain for the game.
1. Jones-Bishop
2. Briscoe
3. Ablett
4. Moon
5. Hall
6. Hardaker
7. Sutcliffe
8. Singleton
9. Ward, R
10. Kirke
11. Minchella
12. Clarkson
13. Ward, S
14. Achurch
15. Delaney
16. Bailey
17. Mulhern
Rest Sinfield, McGuire, Peacock, Leuluai & Watkins. Give Sutcliffe a full game opportunity in the halves, see how Hardaker does at SO & captain and it's an opportunity for the more senior forwards like Kirke & Bailey to prove they deserve to still be at Leeds, even against 2nd tier opposition.'"
I would give Handley a run out instead of Briscoe for this, and would rest Ablett therefore having Watkins in. But pretty much agree with everything else here.

| What a total lack of disrespect for Leigh. They have been unbeaten this season and are an equivalent in my eyes to a team playing 8th or 9th in SL.
Some of these academy players you mention have not played C1 level never mind playing the level where Leigh are.
Nothing other than playing the best team will get Leeds a win. Fact.

Jesus, you post some over bulling of the championship, but that is just ridiculous. Leigh wouldn't come within 20 of a London, so hardly 8th or 9th.

| I don't think the team for next week should be affected by what happened last night. Players who need a breather should be rested. Those who were poor should probably be thrown back out there to get some confidence back and some fringe / older academy lads should have a run. I'd go
Bish
Briscoe
Watkins
Moon
Handley
Sutcliffe
McGuire
Singleton
Ward
Bailey
Clarkson
Ward
Delaney
Mulhern
Kirke
+ 2 others
I don't know enough about the academy lads these days to know who might be ready but I'd go something like that.

| This is a perfect opportunity to throw some of the kids in and see how they go. The Challenge Cup is an irrelevant roadblock for all except the winners, and that's not likely to be Leeds on current form.
Hardaker
Briscoe
Harper
Moon
Handley
Sutcliffe
Lilley
Mulhern
R Ward
Singleton
Delaney
Minchella
S Ward
Bailey
Clarkson
Kirke

Bring on the clowns - them were the days.: |
|
| If it helps Leigh will be under strength due to playing Halifax the following Wednesday which will be far more important in the scheme of things this season
If Leeds cant throw in a bunch of some of the best academy players of recent years against a part time club and win with ease something is wrong

| McGuire, Kirke and maybe even Sinfield need a 'rest' for this one. Bailey too probably. On balance I would still select Sinfield though I think...but as interchange hooker only. Robbie Ward should start.
Let's see how we go with Sutcliffe at SO (he looked good on attack against Warrington - def the biggest threat from halfback) with S.Ward at LF.
Give Hardaker the captaincy and goal kicking duties with the last tackle options falling between him and Sutcliffe. He deserves the step up to greater responsibilites.
However, we all know that just aint gonna happen. All will be forgiven once Leigh have been thrashed.

The mighty Leeds the same team which got hammered off wigans kids the same team wire hammered Friday .show some respect for leigh these lads are mostly part time so anything other than a big Leeds win and I would be really disappointed but be sure we would give London more than a game and in 3 years we will be giving you lot a game.

Yeah I thought about Handley but to be honest I don't know enough about the u19's to know whether he's ready or not, I only go off what's said on here about the lads and bits & pieces of info I pick up elsewhere. If he's ready then it's likely the best opportunity for a while to play him, and Ablett may well be getting a ban anyway for his kick at Monaghan.
I only left Watkins out simply going off McDermotts comments in the past about trying to keep him injury free, and I know it was a couple of weeks ago but he seemed to get a knock against Wigan and didn't seem too keen to go at full pace against Hull.
It's a good chance to try a few young lads and an opportunity for the other forwards (ie not Peacock & Leuluai) to prove their worth.

| If an Academy back gets a game then it might be Josh Walters seen as though he was 18th man last week and has already been given the 28 shirt.

No-one is showing disrespect for Leigh, you yourself keep saying they're part time and right there you have the massive gap between SL & the Championships, not to mention the fact that Leeds spend more on their backroom staff/systems etc than Leigh spend on their first team. So rather than Leeds fans disrespecting Leigh, Leigh fans could be accused of disrespecting London & other SL teams.
