I don't give a monkey's about Bradford City supporters getting upset. I don't give a monkey's about Leeds Utd supporters getting upset either. I don't give a monkey's about soccer. It's a sport which is populated by way too many morons, neanderthals and thickos.
Quote: RhinoLaney "P.S Leave Harry Potter out of this.'"
Ok
Whether you (or Loz) like it or not... and it's only your personal plans for the day in question that have been messed with and the only reason for your grievances... Sky are responsible for the switch, as is their right because they own the product. It's theirs to do what the hell they like with as they see fit. The Bulls have merely reacted (as is their right) by switching the kick-off time in order to maximise their attendance.
I would suggest the Bulls have already lost the vast majority of their soccer-dwelling, bandwagoning, floating voter support quite some time ago as evidenced by the miserly 5,410 who could be bothered to turn up to their last home game. It's been quite some time since winning trophies, bouncy castles, fireworks, woolly bully, Rita, Sue and the rest of the cheerleaders from the neighbouring Buttershaw Estate were attracting anyone to Odsal-stylee Bullmania-fests!
Hosting Leeds is the Bulls biggest gate of the season and given the current malaise felt by Bulls fans, the clubs concern will be for Leeds fans turning up in huge numbers as opposed to peeing off the remaining few Bulls fans who harboured plans to watch both Bradford City and Bradford Bulls games on Good Friday. To that end, avoiding a clash with two "live" SL fixtures on Sky Sports would appear the most sensible option.

| Quote: JerryChicken "No-one at the club would have suggested that this would be a good idea, the switching of the k/o time has nothing whatsoever to do with Bradford Bulls or its management and everything to do with Sky Sports who have basically funded professional Rugby League for a couple of decades now, kept the game from vanishing off the face of the earth in a pro format and allowed egotistical club owners to spend Sky Sports money with reckless abandon and no thought of what might happen when the tap is turned off.
No-one in the game, supporters included (who are the first to scream for big-money signings every winter), can b1tch and whine about Sky Sports wanting to call the tune when they are paying dearly for the piper.'"
What stopped them keeping 2.45pm kick off, Sky?

I don't think they have changed it, according to the statements from both clubs they have confirmed it to be 8pm, that is, it has not been a definite k/o time until now, you may have taken a proposed time and assumed it was confirmed - presumably these fixtures are never firmed up until Sky take their pick four weeks (is it still four weeks) before the date, so yes, Sky fixture picking DOES affect other fixtures too.

86.jpg Let all the doubters keep doubting and those who believe keep believing.
We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.
But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg |

| Where was the kick off time ever announced anywhere? AFAIK it's been a TBC since the fixtures were released. If we/the Bulls manage to lose a few of our soccer fans along the way so much the better.

So which game will you be attending?
Having attended a number of City games this season, a friend has a box, you will not be missing much if you choose the rugby.
Parkinson's idea of the beautiful game is keep the ball off the ground by kicking as hard and far as you can!!

It depends on whether the City game matters.
Judging by the last 2 Odsal derbies, the first being the most bored I've ever been at a sporting event, and the second being a cakewalk lacking any kind of atmosphere, I won't be missing much if I go to Valley Parade either.

They should not get relegated this year surely and they can't make the play offs?
I yet to see a RL game that is anything close to the abject boredom I have witnessed at VP this year, it is truly shocking that some players are getting 5k a week to deliver the level of quality they do.

Sadly absent in the corporate boxes of the 1911 - although the San Miguel is pretty good.

| So from the change of time does it mean SKY are not showing the West Yorkshire Derby, and this game has fallen below the Wire playing the Chemics, it is only 14 years ago since the Super League record ground was set between Norther and Leeds. However will the game actually take place, will Northern still be in business. I fear the gate may be less than 10,000, considering their last home game drew just over five thousand and will five thousand Leeds supporters go?

I would say 10k is close to being a good prediction.
It is genuinly sad that this game was the must see game for us a decade ago and would have drawn around double the attendance even when on TV.
Time moves on and things change i suppose.I am looking forward to the derby with Cas far more this year with the way they have started. It's like the late 80's early 90's again!

| Sport is cyclical. Rivalries change as the fortunes of clubs ebb and flow.
Thirty years ago, Warrington-Widnes would have been one of the biggest games of the season. Then Widnes dropped off the radar and Warrington's biggest rivalries became Wigan and Saints.

| My only question is who will be paying the Bulls wages by then, will they have a new owner or will it be the RFL? Whatever money is left at Odsal is fast running out and they still have an administrator to pay for...
There might not be a game to complain about the time of yet?
