That pass in the 1st half for Briscoe's try was some Greg Inglis type
If all the NRL clubs aren't begging to sign him by the end of the season then I'll get Brett Delaney's face tattooed across my buttocks

| Watkins is the most dangerous player in the league right now. Our outside backs are ridiculously good.
They were awful tonight but it's nice to get that trip out of the way early and without being beaten up in a physical game.

| It was a good performance, both hookers had good games, and I really hope we continue to start Aiton with Burrow on the bench. We're improving week by week and I really hope we improve further, and can finally put in a decent display against Hudds next week. It should be a cracking game. I'd imagine we'll be unchanged, although if JJB is fit he'll probably come in for Clarkson.
It's very worrying though from a Catalans point of view at the moment. They're lacking in confidence, organisation, and attitude. Obviously, they have a lot of players missing but that's no excuse for some of the flat performances of some of their individual players.

| Kallum Watkins has come of age big time this year. I can see him being near unplayable in summer conditions. Tom Briscoe must be drooling when he compares Watkins to yeaman.

Yep we looked good but tricky to judge just how good because Catalans were pretty dire.
......................
Thought starting with Aiton went well and the contribution of the other forwards was really good meaning Peacock wasn't required to do silly amounts of work.
The backs just look so threatening, even if one or two of them are quiet you've still got another 3 to stop. Hall dropped his early chance but was fine thereafter and strong in carrying the ball (likewise Briscoe). Watkins is just class and I think he is starting to realise himself just how good he is. Hardaker looks like a man on a mission to make up for his WC sins. Delaney I thought was one of the best out there tonight and would prefer to see him stay at Loose with Ward and Ablett at 2nd row. Disappointed in Clarkson, he hasn't really taken his chance with JJB absent and can't see him staying in the 17.

| Good away win and more improvement all round.
More minutes under the belt for Ward aswell who imo looks like he could have a very good season.
Hardaker is chiming into the line and getting good ball to Moon or Watkins on a regular basis with good well timed passes aswell.
I think GH should be working his magic now behind the scenes to get Hall ,Watkins and ZH all tied down long(er) term.

| All the previous comments have just about covered my views of the game.
What disapointed me was the standard of refereeing at the play the ball, Catalan held our tackled player down repeatedly . We did our fair share as well. Lucking back to the world club challenge the other week ,that referee policed the play the ball strictly.
That's how it should be.

| Once again - exceptional discipline, we were organised, structured and effective.
As long as our forwards can continue to lay a decent platform we have the skill in our 3/4 line to pick apart any defense.

| Very organised and disciplined performance. Cats were not great, but Leeds did pretty much everything they needed to.
The wind and conditions in general looked challenging as well.
I know I'm going to regret saying this, but I've been relatively impressed with the refereeing I've seen so far this year. We seem to have escaped the usual early season PTB apocalypse as well. Keep it up lads.

| DHM- Whilst its good to see the Refs not getting "whistle happy" i think some of the foul play calls have been shocking perfect example last night in the Cas v HKR game Finn gets a Yellow for an alleged CW tackle yet nowt happens to Welham for a blatant head-butt.

Didn't see that game so can't comment.
Scrapping "on report" would help refs make better decisions. I have seen at least one obvious red card where on report was used to effectively keep 13 against 13. I think they are doing what they have been told to do in these cases.
I still think, in the games I have seen, the refs have had minimal influence on the games outcome and (with the help of the players) controlled games well. I am perfectly aware there is plenty of opportunity for them to make me eat my words

| My Man of the Match was Delaney for an excellent all round performance. He led the defence with 40 odd tackles was very strong around the ruck area, took the ball up well and scored a try. Not far behind him was Moon who on the night was even more impressive than the excellent Watkins. Sinfield was also in great form spreading the ball wide to the backs in moves that had a bit of Wigan type structure about them.
The opposition were below par but a good win none the less and Leeds are looking a very well prepared side - take a bow Brian McDermott.
