I've no reason to doubt his account of what happened, he was quite embarrassed about it (liam that is). He was actually thinking about not attending the homecoming nxt day until a few of the other members of the squad persuaded him to turn up. He did at the time think he would be released because of it!!!

Ryan Bailey is one of my fav players always has been, That being said He did act like an ar5e the night in question. In a nutshell- Showing off in front of some people he was trying to impress, picking on a junior member of the squad who had asked him to pack it in, Ryan carried on and got laid out with one punch.
There had been a lot of drink involved and was forgotten about pretty quickly after.

Whenever I saw him play for Hunslet last season he did little to indicate that he had even a 10th of the ability needed to make an impression at Leeds. He was also very poor for Dewsbury during his time there. Simply not good enough, that's why he was released.

He's probably playing half heartedly after been badly done to at Leeds. With the right support, there's a chance Liam Hood could have been a sensation in his position but he was never given a proper opportunity in the form of a decent run of games in the first team. At least Paul McShane had that chance.

A very similar situation would be Jamie Shaul who apparently didn't perform too well at York but went on to do pretty well for Hull FC in 2013. Some players just respond better in a more professional environment - maybe that's what Hood needs.
