Of course it's all irrelevant given we cant finish 5th, which (so we're told by our resident expert) is the best position for gf glory. Might get a few quid on Saints......'"
Hull vs Saints
Catalans vs probably 2nd string Warrington
Hull KR vs Widnes (h) London (a)
If all those go against Saints way (which is entirely possible given that Wire will probably rest key players as they're away in France 2 days later than their 1st week playoff opponents Wigan or Leeds play) then they'll finish 8th.

| Interesting that the majority of your fans see playing hudds as the easy option when you ve won one narrowly lost one against Wire and lost convincingly three times to us.
Maybe that's why we have done well and seeing us as the easy option could well work very well !!!!! For us !!
I think Wigan have peaked too early hence all the resting which sometimes causes more than it does good.
Apart from a bad day against Bradford we have only lost against Wire at home up to today so I hope everyone wants to come to the JS as its the easy place to go !!!
Oh I like the superman/man of steel shirt and sponsorship fair play and well done to both parties on some smart marketing and good publicity !!!

Four SL clubs have completed their home Regular Round seasons now and the comparative attendances are these)
London - 2012 ..... 2,808 to 2013 ..... 2,213 ( 21% decrease)
St Helens - 2012 ..... 14,222 to 2013 ..... 11,345 ( 20% decrease)
Warrington - 2012 ..... 11,435 to 2013 ..... 10,633 ( 7% decrease)
How many of the remaining ten clubs will be able to buck the trend?
Not all were able to sell season tickets from the position of being current Champions.

| I can remember the days when only Wigan averaged five figure crowds and the days when it was only us and Wigan. Those days were pre super league and during winter rugby.
A decrease in attendances is not great, granted, but before William arrives on the scene I thought it pertinent to recall that fact.

Huddersfield do seem to have it over leeds at the moment, that being said I don't think leeds will fear anybody in the play offs. The big worry is that we may struggle getting players back to fitness, during intense games.

When will huddersfield stop rabbiting on about regular season results.
This is why you are clueless, you think playoff games will play out exactly as they did during the regular season.

Not all teams had been as 'mediocre' during the last 2 regular seasons and had fans saying "we'll just pick and choose our games like the team does".

| I agree that some have dismissed Hudds too much regarding the playoffs. I think they've already done enough this year to say the 2013 version is much different to previous years.
If they can avoid Warrington in the Playoffs I wouldn't rule them out.

| The Wigan game is most important. We should try to get some form and momentum and the only way to do this is by picking our best players, if fit, and going all out for a win. I guess each of the other sides will be doing the same. I would prefer a 3rd place finish too and don't believe Huddersfield are easier than Warrington.
The benefits of a good win will be enormous to the confidence in our camp and will start the negative forebodings in all the other contenders dressing rooms.

In the opening 1st v 4th playoff game they'll be like a well oiled machine. Whoever they play, they'll beat comfortably.
But when it comes to that final 80 minutes, the last hurdle before old trafford, providing they play one of wigan, leeds or warrington they'll falter. I guarantee it.

1140_1361875489.jpg Leeds Rhinos? 8 for you, Leeds Rhinos! You go, Leeds Rhinos.
And none for Castleford Tigers. Bye!:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1140.jpg |

| I think Huddersfield have as good a chance as any. Bar their shocking game in the Cup against the Wire, they've looked the part all year.
It's easy to dismiss them given what's happened in the past, but there has to come a time when someone new breaks the glass ceiling.

| Finishing third means if we lost we are more likely to play the lowest ranked team which would likely mean avoiding St Helens. Although obviously if Wigan beat Hudds, then that changes it!

After the remainder of round 26 we can now add Castleford's 6% decrease, Huddersfield's 17% decrease and Widnes' 1% increase.
(It looks like Wigan are now going to have to post a crowd well in excess of 23,000 for the visit of Leeds on Thursday to retain their highest average home following for a fourth consecutive season. Given their previous highest mark for this particular fixture during the SL Era was 20,295 in 2009, that looks highly unlikely even if we were in a season of growing attendances - and we're not - Wigan's are also following the downward trend.)
