That comment shows how much of a nob you are.
As the old saying goes "crowds don't win games, players do" our players have shown this to be true in 5 of our last 6 meetings!
We may not have many fans but the ones we have are genuine and loyal. We have stuck by our club through thick and thick.
Lets see what youre crowds are like in a couple of years when you have stopped winning things and Leeds United are back in the premier league and the idiots from the south stand return to Elland Rd.

They will probably be like what they were when LUFC were in the Premier League and spending money like a club with no concern of where it was coming from - pretty good crowds actually, consistently the best in the RFL - there is no conflict between RL and LUFC in our city, something which supporters of other clubs who have to rent their grounds off football clubs find very hard to understand.

| Who are you referring to with regards to renting from football clubs?
Must be Wigan as Ken Davy is the majority shareholder regarding our ground.
And what does this have to do with crowd numbers?

| Huddersfield are a decent club, ran reasonably well, in a town with a population of 150k.
I like what they try to do with innovative pricing strategies, it's just a shame they don't get enough buy in from the locals, they deserve it.
Leeds on the other hand don't do innovative, the Chav army follow them whatever.

It was you who raised the subject - I am simply pointing out that its a well established fact that LUFC crowds (which aren't too shabby even now) have virtually no effect on the RL club's attendances at all and never have done, the two teams exist in the same city with no conflict, a situation that does not seem to exist in towns where rugby and football teams share the same premises, Wigan being a prime example where open hatred seems to exist.

| wow some really bad sour grapes from some leeds fans on this topic!
for the record i dont think there were more leeds fans, poss 5000 from leeds the rest were giants.
the usual loyal ones like me turn up, shame the huddersfield public dont, its a football town 21k last saturday for the football but with yesterdays result on the cameras it might bring a few more in to join the loyal fans.
think both clubs have to be applauded for lowering the entrance fees and fans for making a good atmosphere.
we will carry the flag for west yorkshire now

| 4,800 tickets were sold by Leeds so unless 2,000 paid on the day then Leeds did not outnumber us, those that did come though helped to create a cracking atmosphere-which probably helped our players more than yours.
Some of your fans were most graceful in defeat after the game but was interesting to note the number of 'chavs' who were intent on baiting giants fans afterwards with their football fan mentality, chest thumping while chanting leeds and singing united songs at some of our lot.
Again, thanks for making it an excellent day for RL.

Sorry Loz mate but it's not.
Rugby League doesn't have a birthplace, it evolved. It's like asking where the first human was born.
Huddersfield may be classed as the birthplace of the Northern Union which evolved into Rugby League, but not specifically League itself.

| Well, I went because it was £8 a ticket or I wouldn't have. Whilst there I bought a pie, a pint and a double decker. Has Jerry Chicken considered my additional outlay?

| There is now a question about how many Leeds fans that were on Saturday, well my understanding according to tweets from the club, they had sold five thousand tickets by thursday, I also suspect many Leeds supporters brought them from the Fartown Club direct.
Fartown are a better run club than some, but they still need Mr Davy to keep them afloat which is sad, and my understanding is that they only own 20% share in the ground, football club 40% and the Council 40%.
The comment about if and when Leeds United are ever in the top flight again, are gates will fall is interesting. But wrong I think, last year on Easter Monday both clubs played at the same time at home, we got 16,000 gate they got 24,000.
