The clock was stopped at 20:50 when Silverwood was clearly heard to remark, "Stupid that really ............ Silly rule."

yet it worked well when briscoe got his first try. RL refs are way behind their football and union counterparts when using the advantage rule

I think this has been alright thus far some have admitted their errors and answered well and also with humour where appropriate.

Is there an established rule ro guidance on "advantage" in RL though ?

Its used very well in Union with a very clear signal to the players and crowd that the referee has spotted a penalty but is allowing a period of "advantage", in a game which has a confusing number of ways to penalise things that the crowd never see its one thing they've got right.

there should be. i use it in football all the time and it has really worked well there.
