Regal Trophy at St Helens, Saturday afternoon game I recall

It only seems a short time ago that I was at Wembley...watching us win the Challenge Cup..two years running!!
However, those barren years of the 80's and 90's dragged at the time!
Thankfully a long distant memory now....but still one of the reasons this last decade has been so special.

When I think now about the 80s 90s now I feel like I've lost almost 20 years from my life.We had a few false dawns too

From memory, the false dawns in my time watching Leeds:

Crooks and Schofield joining, along with Gurr, Tunks, Morris and Jackson, beating Wigan in the JPS Trophy at Bolton
Winning the Yorkshire Cup
Gallagher joining (best player in the world!)
Laughton arriving, along with lots of signings
Getting to Wembley!
Murray turns up and shows what a real coach could do. He actually did manage to coax the sun above the horizon for a bit.

Then came the real dawn (although in 2006 it started to feel like another false one, with comments like 'wasn't 2004 supposed to be the start of a dynasty?')
