If your in a large group good look at getting your food right and in a reasonable time if you go to Shabab. Had a pretty poor experiance there last year with wrong food, some of it cold etc

You don't really have to wait in line at Reds. If they cant seat you straight away they advise you how long it'll be (usually an hour) and take your mobile number. if the table is ready earlier you get a call. We've had to do this a couple of times and we just pop to a local watering hole

As for curry houses last Friday before the match I re-discovered the Corner Cafe on Burley Road. Not ideal for city centre but IMO better than the City Centre curry houses. Since The Queens became a s Tescos extra it's also become licenced.

Went to Fazenda on Saturday. Still can't get into my jeans.

Not close to city centre but always had fantastic food at Mumtaz.

Akbar's, Aagrah & Shabab all much better IMV.
Not Indian but often overlooked Sous Le nez was my favourite but not eaten there for quite some time.

Sunday dinner at my mothers.

Blimey, that takes me back to the days when La Senora and I could eat at the (other) Corner Cafe for about six quid, starters and mains.
They did a mean mushroom bhaji starter.
Glass deposit at the Skinners Arms for takeaway beer to have with your curry was 50p a glass.
That was nearly three decades ago, they must have been doing something right to be still in business now.

There's one aspect of this request that everyone seems to have been ignored: It can't be too expensive.

If you and your friends aren't feeling flush then try out any of the Weatherspoon's in town because they have a curry menu which is reasonably priced. Unfortunately I don't think Morrsion's has a cafe in town but I once had an alright curry at the one in Kirkstall.
