He's been pretending to be a prop forward and an enforcer since 2004.

| he won't be on massive wages. he's decent. in a salary capped sport you need him in the squad.

Bailey ran into Poore and grabbed him. Poore then reacted and gave him a beautiful couple of punches in quick succession that required treatment. Think Leeds realised Poore was getting some good go-forward and hitting very hard in the tackle, he'd also caught the ref's attention for a couple of penalties so Bailey orchestrated it and the referee made a terrible decision sending off Poore and sin binning Bailey & Cockayne. It should have been Poore and Bailey in the sin bin. Poore needs to be professional & control that aggression but from his 25 minutes looked an asset but we need him to lead the pack for all the matches and not getting banned next season.
Kyle Leulai didn't even get sent off for punching Fox 4/5 times in the play offs? Yet in a friendly Poore walks? Must be something about playing at Leeds that the referees can't be objective listening to the Leeds crowd?
Referee was absolute rubbish (hope he reads this) and spoilt what could have been a real cracker of a game instead it fizzled out due to a weak WTW bench with a lack of a front row and playing with 11 then 12 for the rest of the match. Slater seemed to make yards though and looked strong. Lynne also looked good in patches but was very raw that kick on the last tackle from him reminded me of schools rugby. Brad Singleton looked strong running the ball in and would be good at Wakefield on loan for the season joining his cumbrian mate Amor. There looked more than 9300 at the game as well....
Engage Super League report is also absolute rubbish as it states Wakefield put out their strongest team yet were missing 7 first team players including player of the year - Raleigh, Wilkes, L.Smith, Amor, Wood, Mariano and Mellars!

Further proof (as if it were required) that the standard of players in the NRL is not as supersonic as Bill wants us to think. Give me Singleton any day

| yeah you were missing a few but your side was still much stronger than the Leeds 17 on paper anyway
if a player is going to get sent off it is better to do so now, rather than when the season has started.
for Leeds, I thought Vickery and moon looked pretty good, as did McGuire and mcshane. as for wakey I think they've got a decent squad that could go well, but at the same time it'll be interesting to see how they will handle the expectations on the back on last season's good finish

Singularly the most one-eye post I've seen in a long time.

At one point I counted 3 Leeds first team regulars on the pitch.

| Poore was lucky to still be on the field after the attempt to decapitate Singleton minutes earlier.
He'd done sod all either with ball in hand or defensively, and was obviously getting frustrated at not being able to impose himself against a young Leeds side, and lost it.
Reminded me of a young Stuart Fielden, nobody seemed to be allowed to touch him or give him a bit of his own medicine back.
For Leeds, thought some of the young kids who came on stood up really well in the second half. Some of these lads had hardly played Under 20s before, let alone first team. First half, McGuire and Vickery were unplayable and the forwards laid a platform. Hood and McShane both looked sharp, McShane probably edging that little contest.

| I was discussing a point at the game with a friend regarding the dilemma that faces Wakefield for this friendly.
Do they put out a reasonably strong team, fully knowing that Leeds will field a team of mainly reserves and hope that they don’t get beaten as this would be quite embarrassing or do they put out their reserves expecting to get beaten but have a valid excuse for losing?
This year they decided to go with a reasonably strong team but still got the arrises handed to them by our juniors.
EMBARRASSING!

| bring back the biff, an if poore had not have been sent off wakey would have won that game the extra man gives a side a massive advantage, such as running lines an man marking makes defending an attacking so much harder. If you have ever played rugby league in a team with 12 men you will understand any decent side would take full advantage of this as leeds did today

I like the way you state that Wakefield would have won if Poore had not been sent off as fact.
Are you some kind of fekkin' psychic or just a one-eyed deluded bitter fan of the team that lost.
I laugh in your general direction

| OMG - I've just taken a look on the Wakey board.
They're pinning a lots of hopes on this oversized penalty machine.
Pi55 funny.
