Tonga on form is by far the better option.
However he might not want to come to England.
He might want too much money.
We are talking GH here.
Moon is probably a poor mans Tonga but would be a better option on Ablett who can move back to the pack IMO.

| He's a good player who will shine with better players around him. Whether he wants to be in the UK is another question. With all the mess going on at Salford it's hardly surprising he wants out at the moment.
Sad to see another decent player leave us but what can you do when better money is put on the table?

What makes you so sure we have offered him more money?
Maybe the same as he was on.
Leeds do not pay big bucks these days.
Maybe Salford wanted to cash in just in case he walked away from his contract and went back to Oz.
Does he have any pace?

He went to tribunal but got told to uphold his contract. As for the money, I was referring to a transfer fee, something the Club can't afford to turn down at the moment. Plus, if a guy doesn't really want to be here it makes sense if someone is offering cash.
He's got a bit of pace and fantastic hands. Whoever plays outside of him will bag a lot of tries.

| It'd be nice to see a new Moon. He's by no means in the Twilight of his career, and it could be a Breaking Dawn for the Rhinos, and would Eclipse our other signings this off-season.

It's not been made official but it has been Tweeted by Phil Clarke, Stuart pyke, and Paul Highton (Salford's new player liaison thingy) amongst others.
Absolutely nothing will come out officially through the Club until financial deals have been struck with regards to our takeover. We have not even released season ticket details.

| I'd rather have Tonga than Moon, but not at the expense of upsetting the balance of the side. Given that centre isn't really a priority for us, signing Moon as opposed to Tonga will hopefully leave room for further quality additions when the right calibre of player becomes available.

| moon is a wingers centre, similar to brad godden. nothing flashy but knows how to create space for his winger and put him through a gap. an astute signing imo

If I was you I 'd leave that decision with your coaches and money men, after all they've not done to bad have they ?
As a side Joel Moon was a stones throw away from the NRL grand final two years back when he broke his ankle in the final eliminator. For those interested he is quality and IMO a marked improvement on Ablett. Not to mention when Mcguire is injured he is a ready made six.
As for us we might as well pack in now all we have left is a shiney new stadium and Broughton. Very disturbing.

| If this comes to fruition does this mean Joe Vickery might as well go home?
I can't see us signing both.

According to Pete Smith on twitter he's unsure but reckons the trial period at least will continue.

| If true I think is a very very good signing
He can defend, he's got a good fend and he always feeds his winger
I can see Hall scoring more try's next year

Good comment.
A centre who always looks after his winger, in this case, should be Try City for SL's best winger.
