| FWIW I thought the Monaghan challenge on Sinfield was indeliberate and "committed". The Hall no-try and the BJB try were both on the edge of being forward and we got one and didn't get the other, so it's par. The Hardaker knock-on was plainly a bad decision, but Silverwood wan't defending our right wing on the next set. Fair do, Dickie had a pretty good game, particularly keeping his whistle out of his mouth for minor rubbish at the play-the-ball and refereeing to international standard. I don't know why they don't do that every week.

It's a funny one because I expect it is the same in every other game but because I stand side on I don't notice it. Always notice not standing square at Old Trafford!
I'll stick by my opinion that Silverwood had a decent game other than a 10 minute blip.
Very similar to the Wigan game where I though he controlled it very well but made a couple of shockers.

Absolutely agree with all this.
(Monaghan is not a McIlorum. Maybe a little late, but the malice wasn't there.)

Having just watched the last 20 minutes back on Sky+ the exact same thing just occurred to me. The GF comes round and there's a leniency on small offences at the PTB that don't have an effect on play, and the spectacle is all the better for it. Why they can't apply this common sense for the rest of the season I don't know.

| Thought silverwood did a decent job, though the s around me couldn't see that. Constantly doing about players being in front of him, but not being he was taking them back 11 or 12metres.

probably true, but when he pinged us at end of the first half thought that was a shocker'"
I thought that was a really odd decision - Wire weren't disadvantaged at all by the players not being square - in fact they got a good attacking kick away that Hall had to run dead yet it was, what, the only penalty for not being square in the game?!

Yep, think it was and those were my thoughts on that matter.

Easiest decision of the night that for me - Jonesy was the wrong side of the tackle, never mind square. He then tackled the dummy half straight away to attempt to slow the play down. Silverwood tried to play an advantage - when there was none he brought it back. Similar to the way he did for the Briers high tackle on Ablett.

| I thought the M.Monaghan on Sinfield was late and should have been 10 in the sin bin it was unfortunate they clashed heads imo but late and the one on Hardaker was rdiculous and should have been called back by the VR.
The Pen against us the stroke of H/T was blatant but the number of times he ignored it was just as frustrating imo either penalise it or don't imo.
Anyway we deserved the win and the lads did us proud.

| Haven't seen the match back yet...... Don't think I will ever bother.
With regard to the Monaghan on Sinfield I thought it was just an incident. Maybe looked worse when slowed down. ..... However I've only seen it on the big screen at the game.
Regarding the game, I'll be surprised if anyone can argue about the result.
The Leeds defence was outstanding.
Before the challenge cup final I said I've no problem seeing the likes of Sinfield, burrow, jjb and many others lifting a trophy and I stand by that now.
Your a club that does things the right way and I hope we contest many more finals in the future.

No it wasn't, JJB (the culprit again) was penalised in the set before when Morley charged the ball up from the kick off after their try in the 38th minute.
Both decisions were absolutely correct.
For once I don't think Silverwood had a bad game.
Yes, there were mistakes from the officials, but still fewer than those made by the players of both sides.
The game flew by which was a testament to the officials & both sets of players.
It was a pleasure & an honour to be there.

| Thought in general he had a decent game
Regarding sinny being knocked out I thought it was accidental. It was late and should have been penalised though
