We're gonna have to find a kicking game like we've never had before to stand any chance. Ours has only ever been average at best, especially in our opponents "20". We're also gonna need a decent ref, i.e Ganson or Thaler. Any of the others will just cave in, give Wigan everything and ruin any chance we had. Territory means everything in this game, give them the territory and they'll be over, simple as that. It can be done, but we're gonna need our fair share of the decisions and a few good bounces of the ball.

Learning that Silverwood is in charge is more of a blow than losing Mags. Wigans niggling tactics (holding on, late 3rd man in the tackle etc) will go completely un-noticed. It will just be a stop start penalty fest which really doesn't suit us

The pack was excellent. Worked their boll-ocks off. Gave Sinfield the room and time to superbly pull the strings.

The gang tackling was hard and fast, like our line speed.

The aggression and enthusiasm to hit them hard and borderline was all bailey for his powerful 70 minute performance. Forced errors, stopped line breaks, and possibly scoring chances. Heroes effort.

Fully agree BB and Lunt deserves a credit with a big performance.

Agree JC/BB the effort and line speed was immense and more tham matched/out-did the home teams aggression some cracking hits throughout.

Yup. Lunt was targeted by their big man and he was a man possessed in defence. Knocked them back and stood up. After a great first stint against Catalans last week he backed it up against Wigan last night.

(if he does go back to Huddersfield next season, he may want to pass on to those under-achievers the will to peak at the right end of the season.)

Also noticed yer man soon covered the "inside runners" after they got joy out of it once or twice great read and lateral speed to get across and cover the gaps.

Yup.

A good example was when Wigan lost control of the ball, farrell (IIRC) dove on it, Baileyt followed him through and drove his shoulder right into him while he was lying there. Forget putting a hand on him to tackle him, bash him! Loved it. All of them in gang tackle situation were brilliant. Smart ploy as they rarely got a quick PTB, Leeds messed around getting them down and beat them at their own game in some aspects.

Bish is worthy of a mention, how many times did he come in to cart the ball up. To help the forwards. Another, under the radar heroes effort. Not sleek or class, just hard work.
