Fair point Tad and don't get me wrong, I'll be sorry to see the lad go (assuming he does). But hindsight's a wonderful thing. Not many, for example, were too fussed to see Ali transfer to Wakey. And early doors, particularly following the WCC, it wasn't unreasonable for McD to expect that Kylie & Peacock could raise their game to the necessary level for the key games at least. There's also management of the salary cap to consider; it might be a necessary evil that we have to loan out decent players for a season to keep within the cap and keep them on our books. Of course the risk will always be that some will find out that the grass really is greener.

| Again fair points. But is he really worse than moore or griffin? And sal, thats rubbish, sorry. He may have been poor at leeds early on but anyone can see he has matured and been outstanding this season. Not to recall him is short sighted and stupid

| The whole thing has been a mess, including the fudge over the "decision deadline" when we should have just said "you're a Leeds player, come back to Leeds as per your contract". It's not as if he hasn't had a better season than ALL of our props bar JP on a good day, as well as being between 5 and 10 years younger than all of them.
Not that I can see how we're anywhere near cap anyway (Since 2011 kick-off Senior, Lauititi, Buderus, Webb, Smith, Pitts, Burgess, Cross out; Griffin, Moore, Achurch in) but losing Amor at 25 to get an extra year out of Kylie would be as bad a team-planning decision as we've had since the pre-success days.

| Amor wouldn't replace Kylies 'crash - bang' style.
For me we should be signing another Kylie circa 2007. Sam Moa I would have been interested in.
You need the right balance in the props, aggression, impact, minutes etc.

| It's not really a bad business model if you think about it;
Young lad shows promise - ship him out on loan. This way another club can fatten him up while not costing you a cent. Then when said lad has matured and looks the part you see if you want him in your current set-up otherwise sell him on at a considerable profit.
Although I'm not too sure who Amor 'belongs to'?

More of a Bailey type player hey?
We could always offload Bailey and keep Amor

Player says to hull on 3 year deal, wakefield source says back to leeds. Spoke to peter smith on twitter and he says hull. If true, and i have no reason to disbelieve him, it shows to me that our coach, despite being a prop, is clueless as to what this team needs. Same old next year im afraid'"
It seams my info may have been correct after all which is a real shame Amor is a cracking player and we shouldnt be getting rid of somebody of his age when all are current props are the wrong side of 30 lets hope Singleton and D Smith are given game time next season to see if this decision was the right one

| Amor has questionably been wakeys POTY, he and Raleigh dominated the Leeds pack when the two teams played at Wakefield, I believe given a proper run in the team, he would turn out to be a fantastic signing! And anyone who believes Amor is an 'average' player, is speaking total bol$@cks!!

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

Graham we must agree to disagree - he was distinctly average at HQ in game one and I go back to my original point are any of the top sides wanting to sign him? If he was as good as you are saying one of them would be in for him.

| Not neccessarily. You'd expect the top teams (Leeds and Hull will likely as not finish this season next to each other outside the top four) to have their squad places reasonably settled and they may not be looking to recuit in the prop position in any case.
Leeds' loss (if it happens) will be Wakefield/Hull's gain but it won't be the first or the last time Leeds' investment in a player will benefit another SL team.
Somebody mentioned Carvell earlier in the thread. IMO, he was a big lad but lazy when at Leeds, he only became a loss years after leaving.

I'll have to disagree David.
By game one do you mean the cup game? He was immense in his first stint in that game. Same in the league game more recently. IU have noticed a trend of his first sting being far more effective than his second stint.
But I've seen him play Leeds three times so far and a few times beyond that for Wakefield. He should certainly be part of Leeds first choice 4 prop rotation on form. easily, over the course of the year shown better form than Griffin, Kirke and probably Kylie and Bailey for that matter.
Not to mention his age. Peak years ahead for him. Aren't all Leeds props bar Bailey over 30?

| We should definitely have him back. Better than most of the props we have now!! He would be starting prop for leeds next year if i were in charge!
hardaker, BJB, Watkins, Ablett, Hall, Sinfield, McGuire, Amor, Burrow, JP, Delaney, JJB, Ward.....Hood/McShane/Lunt, Achurch, Bailey, Kylie. Would be my first choice 17 providing there were no other signings.

| This is gonna bite us imo maybe not next year but further down the line.
I do hope Singleton gets gametime and we re-sign D.Smith.
