I thought it was a clear-cut penalty. The type of thing Keith Senior used to excel at before he eventually started getting pulled for. If I had to hazard a guess I'd say it was some form of obstruction.

Play was stopped in a major cup final, and the players brought back from the other end of the field, and a penalty awarded to Leeds. I would suggest that that happened because what Briers did was a worthy of a penalty, not because it wasn't.
