| Quote: Sibbs Rhinos "As silly as it sounds how much better than Ablett and Watkins are we realistically going to get? They are both playing very well, both young(ish) and british. Assuming Ablett stays on at centre which I think he should, could we sign someone that's going to be THAT much better that they'd justify taking a quota spot and probably a large chunk of the cap? I'd doubt it, I'd only go for Atkins as I can't exactly seeing us sign someone like Inglis and any other centre we bring over from Aus I don't think would improve our centre's enough to justify what they'd cost. If you look at our pensioner forwards we could improve in both props and the second row without having to sign a 'top' player imo. A young enthusiastic prop and impact second rower is what we need most.'"
Agree with this.

IF Bradford end up having a fire sale (and I really hope they don't) I'd go for the last Burgess lad. He looked dangerous when he came on and had plenty of drive in the tackle. Although I have heard that if he were to leave the Bulls he'd go and join his brothers in Sydney but I don't know how true that is.

He won't go anywhere else IMO. Souths already interested anyway.
I'd still like to see a centre come over to help further the development of Watkins and possibly Ablett. The more I see of Ablett at centre the more he impresses, his footwork is actually really good and he can pass.
Or tell Gasnier to come over as some sort of coach!

| Oh and good luck to Smithy. Always thought the player we saw before he left for union was still in there..

I agree. Why can't GH approach Gasnier to come over as a player/ assist coach?

He works for one of the TV channels over there as an analyser. Would be handy to teach a few tricks though. It would never happen but it's the sort of scenario I'd like to see. Would just like our slightly inexperiences centres have a mentor to take them to the next step. I thought Senior would've hung around in the coaching set up to do this tbh

I agree we should sign an experienced quality centre if possible. I don't go along with the view that we should leave it to the youngsters who are coming through. I want us to remain at the top every season. I thoght GH might make a move for Junior Sa'u at the Knights who is available but all is quite.

| Shame, when we he came back at easter in 2010 i thought once he got his rugby league fitness back he'd be back to his 2007-2009 self. But it just never materialised. I'm not really sure why, he just couldn't seem to get his thang back and then with BJB returning from london and hardaker signing he no longer had a regular run in the team.
Right move for him, right decision by us.

Senior was hanging around the Pavilion on Friday night ... Mind you, times must be hard, as there's another load of his training kit gone on Ebay recently

Isn't there something about a medical problem as well that he has and seems not to have shaken off ... Which is a shame.
I thought he would have be perfect for the utility back role, a sort of modern Neil Hague that could even have been kept on the bench and slotted in to any of the back positions when needed.
I actually thought he was the pick of the backs during pre-season and would kick on from there ... Let's hope he can get back to something like away from Leeds and maybe never say never.
