Don't wish to be a pedant (well, not much of one anyway) but the pitch no longer drains well at all because of the baked soil layer caused by 40 years of the under-soil heating! This is the reason Uncle Gary wants a new one, but he is hanging on now until he gets his new South Stand... but god knows when that will happen.

Secondly, the biggest issue will be people getting to Headingley... it looks like a public transport & traffic nightmare out there at the moment!

They are still saying the game is going ahead even though some of the transport routes are flooded , on twitter

I can't believe this game will actually go ahead. I'm currently across the valley in Armley is it's piling it down at the moment. It will be good to see the state of the pitch given the amount of rain we have had since this morning. And just to make things easier for the Hull fans the 17.02 train from Paragon to Huddersfield (stopping at Leeds) has just been cancelled.

I think the game will defo go ahead and predict a Leeds win by 21 points to 6.

The attendance will be down to around 13,200 though
