| Did any players emerge with any credit ? (and I don't mean Amor or Ali
Hopefully we've seen the last of Smith and Kirke......who else should join them ? Bailey must be on borrowed time it appears. Singleton and Daniel Smith must be wondering what they need to do to get a shot of first team rugby.

| Quote: Andy Gilder "Aye, I'm sure it was part of the coaches plan to have Bailey avoiding the ball until it got into the opposition half. Likewise to have the captain flap like a demented seagull every time someone ran at him. McDermott went with a smaller, quicker bench and in the second half it caused Wakefield problems. Unfortunately it meant Ward, Lunt and Sinfield defending in the middle channel which left us lightweight. It was like watching Newcastle under Keegan.'"
Sorry Andy but I don't understand the highlighted bit above. Were Newcastle crap under Keegan?

| From what I saw tonight I would swap Amor for Griffin in a heartbeat.
I'm not saying that Griff was crap, just that Amor was much better.

| Hardaker, Ablett, Hall and Jones-Bishop went ok. Of the forwards, nobody particularly covered themselves in glory. Tim Smith gave Sinfield and McGuire a lesson in half back play.

No honestly mate, Amor is awful. I mean he's like the worst prop I've ever seen, Leeds are better off just leaving him to rot at Wakefield for the rest of his career.....

Full of attacking flair, neither the ability nor inclination to defend. Bit like Leeds tonight.

| Just got back from the game and it was a pretty poor game IMO. The bloke next to me was wetting himself saying "what a brilliant attacking game"!!!!!
For me I much prefer a good defensive effort 10-8 to what I saw tonight. Not the biggest fan of mac but it can't all be blamed on him. Some of the players were v poor.
As someone else said we looked very unorganised in attack and some last tackle
Plays were very poor especially with so many half backs on the field.
Hardaker looked good at full back. And both he and BJB looked dangerous with broken field infront of them, but I like BJB on the wing.
Ablett looked ok as did ward with some good glimpses.
Peacock appeared to pick up a knock on his knee and was hobbling about.
Hauraki while better than when he first signed is not anywhere near a Ali type
Player and is just the same as all our back row.
Amour should be signed by us better than alot of props we have

Don't think we were full of attacking flair at all. Some good individual tries and poor wakey defence. Agree with the defence though

I'd say Hardaker and Ben Jones were the standouts tonight. Zak looked comfortable under the high balls he had to take and looked menacing attacking from FB while Ben Jones had a good game and made good ground out of defence as well as a great hat trick. Sadly our forwards seemed to be going backwards in the 1st half and the tries we scored were individual brilliance rather than scoring off pressure our forwards had exerted on Wakey. I'd say Amor would command a shirt every week in our pack based on tonight but that's not really hard to achieve at the moment. I'm just happy with the two points TBH but most of our games ahead that are classed as "four pointers" we will struggle to win based on tonight and our season overall.

| If one of the incumbent halves had to go, it wouldn't be the one that can win games with his goal kicking and at least appreciates that his team mates are allowed to touch the ball occasionally.

Agree regarding Amor. Is this the last year of his contract with us. If it is not sure we will see him at Leeds next year. I know we have option on him, but if I was in his position looking at how little chance people are given and how little chance he has been given at Leeds I would stay at wakey or at least a team where you actually get a game.
He is alot better than most of our forwards and I would like to see him at leeds

From what I can remember Amor has another two years at Wakey after this season if Leeds don't trigger the recall clause which has to be effected by the end of July. If they do recall him he then serves the two years with us. Whether he would want to come back is a different kettle of fish.
