| Not seen keinhorst but if Webb is out it would make sense to give him a chance if Hardaker covers fb

They're there. We're top of the league in the 18s and 20s. However, McDermott seems reluctant to give some of them a chance. He seems to have the same attitude towards youth as Brian Noble.

Thought Hardaker did OK at FB, although his passing on run to his left inparticular is shocking.

Im not saying throwing them all in at once, but why not try them out? Webb's injury may give an opportunity for chisholm on the wing and bjb to full back? Would that be worse than playing lee smith there? Dan Smith could have a slot on the bench easily enough and do a decent enough job at worst. Ok Keinhorst maybe not...but lets be honest here, we have one genuine centre who cant stay fit, so why not give him a couple of games and see what he can do? Maybe my misery and the pints are getting the better of me, but i just cant see any harm in blooding these guys now.

We keep sending them to Wakey, London, Dewsbury, Widnes Etc ......too many inc many on here seem to think it's the best for them and the club whilst we continue to rely/reward the has beens
Still....until we get a decent coach with a visible game plan and tactics it won't make much difference whichever 13 take the field.
Tonight we once again largely relied on individual brilliance.

There's really no place for the likes of you on Substandard. [/quote:1x8x7ghm]:7098.jpg |

Hark at him. Wigan produce a few players who don't end up at Huddersfield and its open season
Recently not many have made the transition-but neither has there been much space in the squad. BJB, Watkins, hall, clarkson, Mcshane plus burgess and scruton who rightly or wrongly moved on.
The WCC side still had 11 leeds academy players I think, it just most have been around for ages

There has to be a balance and whilst I occasionally find selections mystifying, they're a lot closer to mine than yours would be!

| We should have seen youth coming through for the last few years but there seems to be lack of faith in their ability. I'm all for sending players out on loan if it's to gain experience which is then used when they return to Headingley, but we seem to send them to an abyss. Ambler and Amor should have had chances before signing Moore and Griffin. McShane should have had a run of games before signing Lunt. The youngsters need to get a chance to at least see if they can make the step up, and if not you know where the recruitment needs to be focused on at all levels.
Peacock has been off it, as had Kev, not because they're all of a sudden bad players. But they're fooked! We hardly see any rotation, only on the bench, and our big names have been giving everything for weeks and are starting to feel it. This is why we should have players to step in, but because they've been held back they're not ready. When the last batch came in they were getting the exposure which is lacking now.
God bless Daryl Powell

| Ward, Singleton and Hood should all be getting regular first team action now in my opinion, with Keinhorst getting a shot too whilst Watkins is out. Chisholm may have to wait a little while yet, but BJB and Smith aren't exactly doing the job at the minute, though I guess it's hard for them when your forwards lay no platform at all...

| I said before the game that I wouldn't pick kids against Wire. Given the result, I'd say that some senior players have now lost the right to automatic selection, and I think that given the opposition over the next few games, now is the time to try a few kids out for more than a single game off the bench. I'm not advocating wholesale changes, but if GH's words had absolutely no effect - possibly because the team is getting past it - then I think it's entirely right for BM to start to drop 'big names' who for whatever reason aren't delivering.
Many members of this team will leave Leeds as legends. Its up to them whether they want to see their reputations tarnished by either hanging on too long or taking the p*ss for far too many games.
