| I know he's still learning the position but Hardaker butchered a basic two on one overlap in the 18th minute. An almost certain four points went begging there and the almost only refers to the quality of the pass and catch as Hull were powerless to prevent the score.
Hull were fairly comfortably the better side on the night but it was still a game Leeds could have won despite that.

| How did you all view Ablett on Manu in the first half? Manu got penalised for slamming Ablett's head into the ground but on the replay, there was a stray finger in Manu's eye. Hard to judge intent, but it did seem a rather strange thing to do - it's not as if he was trying to push Manu away.

| I wouldn't be overly critical. Leeds played their part in a very enjoyable game tonight. Some you win, some you lose.

Well stop beating about the bush, we all know you mean 'what do we think about the gouge', and it certaintly looked like one to me and a ban should be coming his way. Can understand why the ref didn't see it as from the first replay from the end Hull were defending you can only see Manu's reaction but the second replay from the other side shows it clearly, he seems to feel around Manu's face until he get to the eye. Not good at all.

Was a very good game . Lots of dodgy decisions and non-decisions for both sides , but none that would have affected the result (apart from maybe the forward pass ) .'"
Absolutely agree. The Peacock Smith Webb move was a def try.....but Leeds have benefited many times in the past from forward passes (perhaps even their first given try).
Good game spoiled by a whistle happy ref

No idea what Ablett was attempting there. One perhaps for the video review panel to have a look at? Manu's reaction was understandable.

Looking at that, 5th place might be a decent option which highlights why our play off system doesn't work as well as the NRL one.'"
The NRL system isn't great either and has the potential some daft fixtures. For instance if both 1st place & 3rd place lose in the first round, 1st could end up playing v 5th place whilst 3rd place could get to play v 7th. It's a strange system.

Well I only saw it once (in slow-mo) so I'm not really sure whether it was a gouge. I'm sure the RFL will decide in the week though. I honestly didn't think Ablett was that kind of player.

| Takes a lot for many to retaliate like that so we thought able had done something, which having just watched it back there was.
How many games did hock get for it?

4 matches. The grade carries a 4-8 game ban.

I didn't but who knows, a rush of blood to the head, frustration, maybe reaction from a previous tackle. But whatever his reason and even as a Leeds fan i'd be disappointed if he gets away with that come later on in the week.

| What the disciplinary committee said about the Hock incidentThe Committee accept that the action was not a deliberate attempt to gouge the opponent’s eyes. However the committee feel that the player had no justifiable reason to place his hands in his opponents face. The panel believe the player's actions were reckless and contact was certainly made with the eyes of the opponent. The committee are of the opinion that this had the potential to cause serious injury to the opponent. Whilst the committee take into account the guilty plea, they believe that a 4 match suspension for reckless gouging is in order.'"
Guessing Ablett will probably cop the same.

| Guessing is about right, as it's the RFL disciplinary panel so there are just the three possible outcomes at this stage either:
1 - No case to answer
2 - Four matches the same as Hock
3 - Eight matches just because they can

| The RFL will either take the Tomkins approach or the Bailey approach. They rarely do what is right
