Because that's what happened.
However what I do think is that the RFL should look at that use of the forearm and the shoulder charge and maybe ban them because of what can happen if the forearm or shoulder rides up on contact and can cause damage, but at the moment they are legal.

All the correct outcome. My only issue is the way the "on report" is used. It used to be if the ref never had a clear look of what had happened, now it just seems they hide behind it.
The lifting was bad a deserved a red as the intent was there. For sliverwood to say "your lucky he never landed on his head" is just a cop out. It should of been a straight red then 2 game ban max.

| SL stats suggest Lauaki has only conceded 2 penalties in 7 appearances this season. Is that really such a liability, or are the stats very wrong?

| They must be wrong. Must be Phil Clarke he puts them together on there.

That's also what happened last season when IIRC Steve Ganson sent off Joel Tomkins V Hull and when Ben Thaler sent off Richard Mathers V Wakefield in 2008 during their Wigan days. It didn't prevent the disciplinary panel from banning them. The Lauaki one looked just as bad, possibly worse than either IMO.

Why two game max? Sounds a bit lenient if you're that upset with the incident.
Only seen it once but Lauaki didn't spear the player or drop him recklessly - after initially putting the player in a bad position (caused in large part by the action of the other defender pushing down) Lauaki appeared to take responsibility and ensure a reasonable landing.
Expect the disciplinary to not go overboard on this one.

| While we're on subjects of discipline and potential to cause injury...
Rob Burrow ran at one of Saints big fellas in the middle and the tackler's chest made pretty hard contact with the head and, if I recall correctly, Rob was a bit dazed to say the least. Given the uproar over Sam Moa's hit on Rinaldi, is this not a similar case? Bigger player tackles smaller player and hits him in head.
Any thoughts?

What's rubbish?
The fact that Moa was done for something that i don't think he should've been and I'm trying real hard to make a very tenuous link!?!
