| Thought Silverwood had a good game for both sides. Can see why most penalties were given.
Bemused by the forward pass by Wire whilst on a break though.

Wire certainly came out on top with the penalty count. But all in all he didn't have a bad game. Thought Smith in the box pretty much got it all right.

The 10 metre rule has to be enforced IMO. If it isn't we'll have defenders waiting for the ball to land every time it's kicked downfield.
In union someone behind the kicker can put everyone onside as he passes them, could be a compromise?
The Leeds no try I would agree with under the laws, it's a shame because it s a fabulous pass from McGuire and great hands from Watkins. Pressure could have been put on McGuire sooner if he hadn't gone behind the runner, having said that they weren't actually rushing up on him.

Thought that was the rule in league as well if the kicker had chased up he would have put them onside

| Question regarding westwoods try given. Doesnt the ball have to be grounded whilst in control with the hand? when he was tackled it was in his hand short of the line then the ball came out of his grasp and was half way down to his elbow when it was finally at the line surely thats a knock on wheres the control ?

Yes I questioned that too. After grounding short Westwood appeared to loose control of the ball with his hands and his momentum took the ball over the line but it seemed to be rolling under him and certainly not in control.

I agree. Had it happened in a tackle in the field of play it would have been a knock on.

Said exactly the same thing last night and i also thought it was harsh pulling Kylie back for "obstruction" when he went clean through the line and imo prevented no-one in the defensive line.

I didn't object to the Kylie obstruction even though nobody was impeded. Like the Higham offside incident, if it's to the letter of the law then at least we have a better chance of gaining consistency.
On another refereeing note, I'm not sure the ball was dead when Silverwood blew for half time. Warrington lost position but then Hall picked it up and had Hardaker inside him - I think we were entitled to run the length to score or did I miss something?
