| A site in Bramhope would suite me just fine, in fact anywhere in the LS16 postal district - I'm not that fussy.

| if i were a multi billionaire and money was no object at all, id build 100,000 seater mega stadium for the city (for Leeds utd and internationals, finals etc...) and a 50,000 seater stadium for the Rhinos. All part of the same complex, it would have to be somewhere that's big enough.
But id slash the ticket prices to a fiver to get the numbers in and provide free regular buses from various locations throughout Leeds
my aim would be to get the stadium full every time. giving away seats for £1 if need be
i suppose i can dream : )

37727.jpg And last but not least, to all those people that wrote this team off, to all those people that criticized this team...tonight's for you, thank you.
I'll tell you this now, of all the sportsmen I have ever seen, this guy is the most impressive. Clare Balding 6/10/12:37727.jpg |

| If money was no option, I certainly wouldn't limit it to 25k seats.
I don;t see why we think a new stadium is needed or even feasible. We have a good stadium in a good location. We can upgrade it as necessary. We are hardly likely to walk away from headingley afetr investing a large wedge into the Carnegie stand in the last 5 years.
People may like these shiny new stadia, but personally I think most new grounds are souless, and have a limited atmosphere.

| Some serious hardball needs to be played with the LCC so we can get back on track, luckily we have just the right man in charge for the job.

Yes, yes and thrice yes, couldn't agree more. The new stadiums are a novelty at first but soon become boring when you're visiting the same identikit stadiums every week. This thread is like a dagger through my heart, I couldn't stand the thought of moving from Headingley which has history, memories and an atmoshere all of its own. Behind Wembley i would say Headingley is the most famous ground for overseas players who all relish the chance to play at the possibly the most famous Rugby League club ground in the world.

If we built a new ground, using the same plans as Dortmunds stadium would be pretty fantastic.
Also the plans that were drawn up for Liverpool with the massive Kop end looked great

Agree entirely. I'm not one of the old codgers, I haven't witnessed the majority of the history of our traditional ground, but I appreciate it and have enough memories myself. I wouldn't think of moving away from Headingley, how can the Rhinos leave that behind. I'd be happy to see the stadium gradually be modernised but without taking away the traditional heritage away from it.

| Isn't the site next to Elland Road available? (Am I right in thinking it was supposed to be a super-casino?)
There's also a huge plot of land next to the new (ish!) Porsche garage which is right on the motorway link. Although the traffic is bad enough there on a Friday night so not sure how the road network was cope.

those traffic lights are the bane of my life. If you come from Gildersome towards town, i swear the lights stay gree for 10 seconds and then back to red
