A mid-season trip to Australia won't help that. We'll see. Not really bothered either way but perhaps play it pre-season if we have to go there? Late Jan/Early Feb?'"
Agree it won't help our season, but it won't be mid season? Usually held at the start. Personally would prefer the game to be here for selfish reason that I could go, but it would be cracking for the lads to go

| In theory a trip to Australia for the WCC sounds like the trip of a lifetime, but for how many people? In such hard economical times it would be a trip for the few lucky ones while the majority sit at home drinking a can of Fosters to get in the spirit. If it's all about winning the game bring on a cold, wet, squally night in Leeds. I'm only bothered about the silverware and the kudos that comes with being world Champions.

imagine the kudos of going to Australia and beating them in their own backyard, in giving them every advantage and still taking the silverware from them...........It would be talked of for years.
These boys deserve the chance to do it, the opportunity to cement their legacy. They have earned it.

| Great idea. Just a shame there won't be a shiny new Southstand to celebrate it. Mind you, if it's held at HQ it would be a fitting end to the present structures tenure that the greatest ever side become WCC in her final season.

I've seen my share of miracles involving Leeds this year, it would be greedy to expect another by Leeds going into the Lions Den at Sydney and returning as newly crowned World Champions. It would certainly send the clubs profile through the roof if they somehow pulled it off, but imagine if we were on the end of a right tonking, which is a distinct possibility. As you can tell i'm not a gambling man, and the thought of the anti-Leeds brigade sharpening their knives as leeds boarded the plane to Oz would mean many sleepless nights. A packed Headingley stadium (according to some reports) would be an ideal scenario for me, and a massive advantage for the team. A capacity crowd on a winters evening would generate an incredible atmosphere, my spine is tingling just thinking about it !
