where do you get that he still has pace .i seem to remember agianst wigan the other month i think it was tomkins that put a kick through and ali looked to be going backwards all the best to him though i hope he goes on for a few more years in union but i think leeds need to look for some new blood and shake things up abit too many players have slipped into just going through the motions

I would not give him a new contract... But the S' thing is even at his present performance levels I would still rather 'ave him than Kirke.

On that basis he does deserve a new contract. Probably a longer one than Kirke has just " earned " icon_smile.gif

Not sure what French union teams would be willing to take a punt on a 32 year old RL player who hasn't played RU since school. Sound like agent talk to me.

Toulon would probably have him. They'll take anyone who doesn't seem too French.

He'll go straight into the All Blacks Team just like Sonny Bill Williams icon_ask.gif

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg

I have previously thought that he might make a number 8, but maybe that was more on build than ability? His handling in the forwards in Union would still make him a stand out player.

Ali has been a fantastic import for our club, he has given tremendous service to our side during his time here, when Ali's was in his prime and on song he's been almost impossible for the opposition to defend against.Sadly these days have long gone!

Could he potentially move to the front row and do a good job there <injury free of course>?

I agree Lauitiiti would make a decent 8. That's a league prop where he can get away with playing twenty minute stints.

He's been a joy to watch and will be missed as I still get a buzz when I see his name on the bench but the reality doesn't match the expectation quite like it used to.

I hope he goes to Union and robs them blind.

Unless we get an impact forward as a replacement I'd keep him for another year. Even if increasingly irregular, he has attacking ability that none of our other forwards get close to.

According to League Weekly this morning he's heading to Wakey for 2 years, a good signing for us or has he taken a backward step this year?

Is he better than what you've currently got in the second row? Definitely

Is he the player he was 2007-2009 at Leeds? Not even close.

Playing the Solomona role, short stints as an impact player, he'll go ok for you. Just don't expect him to be available for more than 20 games a season.

So on that basis he will easily be able to manage over two thirds of Wakies full season. Not a bad return.

You mean there's more to their season than playing us twice and Cas twice?
