| This Chase rumour won't seem to go away but he's re-signed with Cas so he won't be coming here.

| As long as the new centre is not Jerome Ropati. He can be awesome on one play and woeful on the second...

| The fact that Burrow has played a bit of hooker recently with moderate success would suggest we've signed a new half back for next year. One can only hope, we've lacked organisation pretty much all year.

| Once the semi against Cas is out of the way, and probably the league game the week after we can announce our signing of Chase. Would look a bit suspect if we announced it before the semi and he had a stinker.
Chase and Mags at halfbacks next year, sinny back to 13 and Burrow/McShane and maybe a bit of gametime for Hood as well at hooker. The experience (read old trash the NRL clubs dont want) will be in the form of a centre, though if he proves to be Godden-esq who will complain?
This has of course all been pulled out of my rear at a moments notice but you never know hey.
Oh, and then next season we WILL go unbeaten.
Read it first here guys.

| Keep seeing the Chase rumours about him coming to Leeds or signing a new contract at Cas. Am I right in thinking if he signed a new contract at Cas he could still sign for Leeds, but it'd just cost us a bit more brass as he has a longer contract?

I agree it does suggest that we've got a new half back and Burrow is obviously not happy with his new role. Whether the new half back is Chase though remains to be seen.

| Chase will not be here next season, he has signed a new deal at Cas that makes him their highest every paid player.. unfortunately, think its the fact that he likes to be a big fish in a little pond.
next season i think we will have a new centre and half back aswell as Griffin though, one hoping that we havent got the half back yet and go for Witt.

| I'm with Sal and Gotcha Frosties IF we are signing any Crusaders player then my choice would be Hanbury.
I don't think Witt would add much to us tbh.

I think I would prefer Hanbury to Witt but it depends if someone's been signed before this week. Any idea on the name of the new centre?

Any signing should be an improvement on what you have, or at least better than what you are left with if somebody leaves.
Hanbury for me falls into both categories. Would be a very good signing, a much better signing than the likes of Sammutt who Bulls went for.
There is no point making signings just for the sake of it, and personally I would rather go with kids than sign the likes of Witt, Thomas, Bryant, O'Hara, etc.

See, I'm the opposite!
I like Witt, he's very much the organiser type we need!
