| Can anybody really blame him?
Any proven player worth their salt would be happier away from Leeds at the moment. The club is in dissaray.
Top players here at the moment, must realize that 2012 will most probably a deja vue of this season as it stands. And we can only hope that there is enough going on behind the scenes to try and make 2013 a springboard for going forward again.

| I hope Danny gets his move, and GH shows us once again that the Rhinos brand is not simply a cash cow.

At least he's honest about the situation. Good on him.

Indeed Exter. Not only that, he recognises what his fekkwitt Rhino acolytes refuse to accept.
I say let the guy go. Good guy, good player but has failed to provide the influence on this team one would expect from such a player.
Us the quota and cap space created on other more pressing needs.
Time to have a good long look at Liam Hood for the rest of this year if the coach has any nous.

| If he wants to go let him. I've been a fan, and no doubt he would continue to give his all (he's clearly been on the horns of this dilemma for a while without it materially affecting his level of performance), but if he's going then we need to balance our performance level this year, with our need to explore the options for next year.

I'd agree with most of that. Leeds should let him go - not because he isn't up to it I hasten to add, but more because I think Leeds need to start again from scratch next year (with McShane and Hood already in place in this position). I'd also like to see Buderus back at the Knights (my preferred NRL team) & finish his career on a high with them.
On the 'influence' side, I think he has provided sufficient influence for a player who only plays in 40 minute stints. Had Leeds signed the 80 minute version, I suspect his contribution would be more widely recognised. You are definitely right that Leeds didn't need him though.

| One thing we can be sure of is Buderus will honour his contract at Leeds, should the club insist upon that. He's not the type of person who would sign a one year contract extension and then renege on it once he'd cashed in on something... like a testimonial for instance.

| Got to disagree with those that are saying he has not done anything for the team and we didn`t need him.
He is sheer class playing in a poor Leeds pack be it down to how they are coached or how they are performing with some past their sell by date and others not up to it.
Those who are moaning on about how we did not need him are probably the same fans who were slagging off Diskin and McShane as not being good enough last season and the season before.
I agree maybe McShane and Hood are our future but to say we did not need Buderus is a joke.
We need him plus at least 2 more players in that pack oh and add a centre and a half back to that request please.

Even Buderus admits we didn't need him. We needed a quality centre, which is even more apparent now.

We may not have needed him at the time, that is possible. But the last two seasons would have been a hell of a lot worse without him. He has been a shining light in a fastly diminishing squad.

Noooooooooo. Surely not? Not the living legend that was Diskin!

I know, Leeds never did anything without Buderus did they.
I mean, his influence was never more greatly emphasized than when Leeds had to cope without him from July 2009 till the end fo that season.

Was 2009 the last two seasons?

Agree with this also. I said we didn't need him, but that doesn't mean he wasn't a good signing.
