| I suspect we have a lot of tired players at Leeds who are really done in. Sinfield, McGuire, Kylie, Peacock, JJB, Senior and a few others have been with the team a long time and worked their backsides off to achieve those 4 championships. An inspirational leader might have lifted them for a year or two more, but an innexperienced coach with no track record of success who they already have dealt with as an assistant in the past doesn't seem to fit the bill. Add to that Lowes, who is hardly awash with charisma - or a winning record - and you get players who have worked with far better and bigger personalities saying "F*** this for a game of soldiers". They are uninspired, flat and lacking drive and ambition and thinking "well I've done it all, what's the point". It's now easy for them to look at the coach and blame him for their own lack of energy.
This team is going through the menopause - bad tempered, erratic and impossible to talk to.

That's a pretty good assessment

| Cock on that assessment. Players crave discipline, structure and above all leadership. They are getting nowt from these two jokers.

| If DHM is right, you either freshen things up by replacing half the side or the coach. Under the cap its difficult to do the former, and GH already signed up a lot of players beyond this season. That leaves one option. BMD was probably the hope to do just that. I can't see any evidence that its working.

Hang on a minute.
You've agreed with the assessment that a large chunk of the senior members of the first team squad have nothing left in the tank and are basically no longer hungry for success, then you go and shift all the blame for that onto the coaching staff?
Players are entirely accountable for their on field performances and their off field attitudes. If they really can't be bothered any more and are going through the motions, then as highly paid professionals whose fault is that?
I'm prepared to cut many of the first team squad a little slack on the basis of past achievements. That only gets you so far though, and it's clear that whoever was in charge of this current Leeds side they wouldn't be in any different a position to where they are now.
The root of the problem lies in a playing squad that is past its sell by date. Sentimentally clinging onto them and absolving them of all responsibility for their performances isn't going to take the club forward.

| Doubters are not always a good thing to have in an organisation. But blind, unquestioning faith in the face of overwhelming evidence that the system is failing is a worse thing. I think the players (and everyone else) have some good cause to have doubts and questions.

Agree the playing staff are accountable and do need to take the blame, but so does the shambles of a coaching team as well
