Lee Briers doesn't annoy me. He's been pantomime villain for so long, what would we do without him? That said, he is more annoying since Tony Smith arrived and he started consistently turning up in big matches.
The most annoying players are usually those that would be among your favourites if they were at your club aren't they? If they weren't decent players they wouldn't get to you. Robbie Paul definitely used to fill that role, for instance. With that in mind:
1) Sam Tomkins (Gobby, niggly, looks like a rat. Wouldn't boo him playing for England mind... probably most dangerus player in SL with ball in hand, like him or not)
Exceptions to the above rule, two of the most overrated players in SL IMHO:
2) Ryan Atkins
3) Ade Gardener

Close second would be Ben Cockayne.
And finally third, there are so many to chose from, would be between Galea, Westwood and Leon Pryce.

I have never understood this? I can see why a lot of our players would get up other fans noses (Kev, TMFMISL, Senior, Maggs) but what did Lee Smith ever do? |
