| Quote: supercat "Do Leeds have a first option on Ellis like they did with Harris.?'"
I wouldn't expect so for a couple of reasons. 1) Ellis was at the end of his existing Leeds contract and wasn't seeking an early release. And 2) Ellis had a more clued up agent/manager who I doubt would allow his client to compromise his future.
Quote: supercat "Doubt Cas will be able to afford if he comes back in next 2 years as someone else will offer more money. Being a short career you have to take what you can get if it's more sentiment will probably play no part in his decision even after reading this article.'"
I wouldn't be so sure with this player given his past record. He joined Leeds for less money than Wakefield were offering for him to extend his stay at Belle Vue. He allegedly did the same again to test himself in the NRL at Wests. Who's to say he won't go for the hat-trick on his eventual return.
The attractions to Castleford should be huge and if/with a new stadium to fill they'll be in the market for a top signing and Ellis should fit that bill with a local boy returns twist.
Ellery Hanley to Leeds created quite a stir and he was (again allegedly) on a percentage of all additional rugby related revenue right down to a cut of the car parking fees.

| I'm sure Ellis will return one day to Cas afterall it was no seceret he wanted to play for them one day.
As for us we have 2 very good Backrowers who potentially could go onto being every bit as good as Ellis.

Agree, we have lots of good back row forwards at the club not a area where we are weak and need to add to

At the time I agreed with GH that it seemed wrong to drop someone to let Morley come back to keep match fit for GB and come in for the glory run to the GF. '"
I bet Andy Lynch agrees with GH! 28 games and nothing to show for it!

I don't think Rob Parker played after about Round 24 and that was before Morley was first used in Round 27.
Lynch, Langley and Morley then appeared together in round 28 and the first play off game and it was Paul Johnson coming in to the second row that saw Langley and Morley retained and Lynch miss out.
Or some'at like that.

| he will sign for cas he is a cas fan and when he was a kid you never saw him without his cas shirt on. he played for lock lane, we got some great service from gaz i'd say let him play for his hometown team if that's his desire. besides his old man told me it was just about a done deal. and he actually told me gaz was off to oz.

Fair play to him, I will always wish him the best.
A joy to watch in a Leeds shirt. Tough as. I still argue that we haven't actually replaced him since his departure.
Nice to see him thinking of joining up Cas for that reason. In the domestic game he achieved quite a bit, so something else (other than chasing SL titles etc) has wet his whistle.

Probably the role that's earmarked for Clarkson, providing he kicks on now he's gone full time.
Nothing flash with ball in hand, tackle anything that runs in your general direction.

totally agree, a great lad off the pitch aswell brought up with respect which is there for all to see.
like AG says i'd like to see either ablett or clarkson take over his mantle, ablett is getting better all the time and clarkson has loads of time to do it and has made a good start to his career already.

He'll have to go some to tackle like Ellis did for us. 'Raw-boned' could have been coined for him.
