Don't worry, the 'golden' signing will show his worth over the season - as a very average SL prop, which is what he was always going to be.

Sadly true. Two of our last three overseas signings - Delaney and Cross - have been virtually pointless IMO. Hauraki may well have been worth a punt as he did well for Crusaders last year, but Delaney and Cross have performed about as well as expected. Delaney was a regular but virtually anonymous centre ('solid' in the dour sense of the word) and Cross was a virtually anonymous irregular player.

Cross in particular I don't understand. If we rate Ambler and Amor at all, his spot should have been given to those two to fight over. If we don't, then we should have gone for LMS.

Something of a mixed bag.

3 or 4 Decent ones. Ali's the best of the bunch by a long shot though. Even though he has been somewhat injury prone the last 2 years I still think we have had great value out of him and even at 75% he is better than the majority of 2nd rowers in the SL.

I'm not chucking my boots away either, given that Warrington are supposed to be a team going places and yet they can find a place with the Union-esque rotundness that is David Solamona these days.

If we've got a props crisis, I might just take my kit on Friday evening ....
