| The best most consistent centre over his entire career that I've seen in a Rhinos jersey. I've always been glad he didn't go to Wigan when he left Sheffield.
I hope that in his eagerness to finish up with 600 games to his name he doesn't go on too long, diminishing his memory for those who recall him in his pomp.

| Keith Senior even at 80% is still better than anything he's likely to face in SL.
The team suffered a downturn in form at times last season, I don't think Senior's was anything out of line with that and I'm looking forward to see how he fares this year after his pre-season shoulder op.

i rarely post but this has really got my back up! In terms of durability or consistancy please name me any RL player who has performed over the number of years to the level that Keith Senior has? and before any one says Cunningham (who has been great dont get me wrong but always cried off when it came to test matches) i dont buy that. Keith apart from the unfortunate 2005 season (cup final etc) he has been an absolute privelage to watch. I dont care what other people say but he is the greatest british centre i have ever seen and it will be along time before we ever see one as good, not just in a Leeds shirt but in an England or Gb one.

| Probably the best British centre by SL standards (which aren't very high).
Hopelessly out of his depth and relentlessly outclassed at international level against the Aussies and Kiwis culminating in the suffering of sundry personal embarrassments and frustrations. This would include being owned by Steve Matai and then throwing a hissy fit and spitting his dummy out because he got squirted with a bit of water by a Kiwi trainer.
Carl Gibson was a far better centre than Senior and also performed admirably at international level.

| A pleasure to watch at domestic level and he will be remembered as a Leeds icon.....have a feeling however that this might be a season too far. I hope not.

| Whilst we got him as a Wigan reject right at the end of his career, one of the most skillful centres at Leeds in the last 25 years was David Stevenson.
Like Holmes, he had a football brain and what his legs lacked was more than made up by his ability to put players in to a gap with a well timed pass ....

| Great centre, great servant to club and game....but a lil ott saying greatest ever??
The modern back division as been lacking top Intl class back patic' centres domestically; hence we bring the our Aussie cousins in and it showed in last years Intl series.
Consistently good over a long time and that takes some doing...I for one hope to see him notch a few more seasons yet in our great game...

No wonder you rarely post. What a load of rubbish, obviously you have a soft spot for Keith so I dont want to upset you too much.Keith should never have played at international level he is way out of his depth. If you watch most of his performances against the Aussies you can see that they spot him all the time. The tries that Aussies have scored through him being targeted as the weak link far outweigh the occasional one he has scored against them.FACT.Sorry!!!

That's an unreasonable assessment of Keith Senior because he is arguably the best British centre of his SL generation. The fact that he was out of his depth at international level against the Aussies and Kiwis on numerous occasions is not, and can never amount to a justifiable case for his exclusion from international selection because he was (and still is) one of the best British centres we've got. The alternative would have been to select players ahead of him who were inferior.
The fact that Keith Senior has been the best and most consistently performing British centre for the past decade or more is a sad indictment of the entire SL-era. As a player, he is not alone given that we haven't produced a single, genuine, consistently performing world class player since the switch to SL.

Do you think that Keith would have shown up better internationally if he was surrounded by players of better quality.

No, because he'd have been targeted more often as the more obvious weak link.
