| Quote: Mick Gledhill "For the record it wasn't a trolling attempt and another thing mate I don't see Bradford as a club in decline for one minute after the fact that we've sold over 10,500 season tickets to press, so how do you view this as an example of a club going into decline at an unstoppable rate?
What are sides like Castleford and Wakefield then?
How many season tickets have Leeds sold so far?
I don't predict big things for us next year, but I do foresee a massive improvement under Mick Potter and Francis Cummings and hence have the potential to be most improved side next season after the last two years where we've seen no playoff action.
We'll have 11 maybe 12 new players all to gel together and would expect narrow losses in the first two games, but as the season goes on and with the side having geld together, I think that we would as a club be in a playoff place and the chance to a strong finish to the season.
I really do think that Leeds will be the biggest under-achievers next year as the decline sets in at Headingley.'"
Well Mick it just shows how swept along you are mate. you a practically giving session tickets away. I can spend 60 sheets in my local of a weekend. how many of those fans will be there if/when you are near the bottom of the league playing god awful rugby. Just ask the saints fans. Potters tactics are shocking at times. Saints fans will tell you they looked clueless under potter and only players like Cunningham, roby, eastmond, pryce, wellness, Graham and pelutua dragged em over the winning line despite potter. The bulls simply don't have that caliber of player.
Leeds sell around 12000 season tickets with gates between 13000 and 18000. You know this pal.
But you have dropped a klanger here Mick! You say Leeds will be the biggest under achievers which we all know says Leeds are expected to win things. Which totally the opposite to decline. if Leeds win trophies is here nor there sl is a tough comp any of wigan, saints, Leeds, wire or hudds can win sl or the cup. a team in decline isn't expected to win nowt like the bulls arnt expected to win owt. Leeds are expected to win things they are not in decline
You need to work out the difference between not winning trophies, under achieving and a team in decline. Again the last one should be easy for you because you are living it as a bulls fan. When Leeds don't look like making the play offs for 2 or 3 seasons you might be on to something.

Sadly, your argument is irrefutable.
Are you SURE he's not a clone of Damo? You can have him if you want - there's money in it...

Which version of him do you want? You can have the "leave Worrincy alone" version on a free now, but all the other iterations will cost you.
That said, if you promise to take Gledhill on a long-term contract as well - and transfer him to somewhere like Patagonia - we might be able to do a deal...

| It's like Bulls fans are trying to convince themselves that they have done well out of getting Cummins and Diskin.
There was a reason that they are no longer at Leeds, it's because they were not considered good enough. Diskin was only playing last year out of sentimality rather than form. They only need to go back to the many Buderus v Diskin threads on here to see comments by the ones looking at form to see that.
The suggestion that McClennan got rid of a player over GH is just simply laughable.
All this talk of Leeds decline aswell because of the coaching appointments. Leeds will certainly not be the force they were, but that has nothing to do with the coaches, its the clubs inability to be proactive when it comes to recruitment. Another theme you will see amongst previous threads throughout last season.
But despite any recognition about Leeds going backwards they will still have the massive comfort of not having the slightest chance of been behind the Bulls for any of the next 5 or 6 years.

| Hmm "LWA!!" Booaza will not put bums on seats behind keyboards its "Rod Studd gave me a tip on the horses, thats 2 weeks money you owe me Rod!" Booaza we need. Gledhill on a free transfer? sorry but no.
We have our own resisdent forum madman in Damo and he's doing a cracking job after a brief spell of below par peformances this year.
Come back to us with your demands and we'll meet at the usual place for RL transfers/rumours/ movers and shakers etc, a service station of your choice on the M62.

Because you sold them for next to nothing, and promised that all will be different. The problem you'll have is that in selling them so cheap, people don't feel like they're wasting money if they don't turn up. Last season you only had a home attendance of over 10,500 ONCE (No prizes for guessing it was vs. Leeds!)
So lets look at the evidence....
Game 1 at Odsal, Feb 14th vs. Saints10,165. Not a bad attempt at an attendance, it's cold, it's Valentines Day, we can forgive it been a bit lower. Now here lies the problem... you get drummed. 6-38. Ouch! So the fans have managed to somehow convince the Mrs. that braving the snow, and standing out in the freezing cold, on Valentines Day is a good idea... then BAM! They have to watch that dross.
What happens next?? A local team comes to town (Feb 19th vs. Cas) but this time the Mrs says... "NO WAY! It was sh[ii[/ite last week!" so what happens??... 8,019.
It goes on! Even the famously well followed Hull KR & Wire only manage to pull 9,234 and 8,128 respectively.
The point I'm making is this... season ticket sales or not... if you get the fans there, and they have to watch poor Rugby, they won't come the following week (ESPECIALLY when they've paid next to nothing for the season ticket in the first place).
If the season ticket sales are true, and none of us have any reason to doubt that, then there's no reason why you shouldn't have a home attendance of AT THE VERY LEAST 10,500 every single game. Right??? How about we check back here in a years time and see if that happened.

| Mick - bless!
Just for information and while I can't remember the exact numbers I know roughly what they are from the South Stand development meetings, last year we sold around 10,700 ADULT season tickets and this year they have target 12,000 ADULT season tickets. With Senior and Junior season tickets last years total season ticket sales were just short of 13,000 IIRC.
Shall we do some quick maths. Now some of those tickets will be at higher North Stand, Paddock and Carnegie Stand rates as will some of your 10,500 season ticket sales of course, but as we have more seats than the Bulls lets keep it simple. For the maths lets assume the base rate sales of £60 Bulls and £200 (Bronze) for the Rhinos. I will even assume we only sell 10,500 for this exercise!
Bulls - £60.00 x 10,500 = £630,000.00
Rhinos - £200.00 x 10,500 = £2,100,000.00
Hmmm, a very basic short fall of a cool £1,470,000.00 in annual fixed season ticket income!
If you can find another £1m you could just spend up to the Salary Cap limit... without paying anyone else of course!
Sorry, who is the club in decline?

| Mick...
You could sell a million Aston Martins if you sold them for a pound.
Wouldn't make you a millionaire though would it?

OMG. It's just as well you don't believe any of that really.
