The best time for laying grass is actually October, which considering that is when our season finishes, was a fair point by Swiftcorn on this occassion. New grass needs wet more important than warmth. August under normal circumstances is actually the worst time possible to lay grass.
My question would be why the hell they would lay a new pitch, only to have building work going on around it just a couple of months later. Surely some of the tools required will need to utilize the pitch area for the build?
Overall though, nice to see work is going to happen. |

I know as of maybe 6 weeks ago it had not gone in, but it might be in now... I will check when I get a moment.
The rumour is that some of the locals are voicing an opinion on the potential height of the new stand, but not objecting to a new stand itself as such.... given this one replaces one that is already there, they can't really object, well they can but it would be a waste of time!
I have heard that the planners are advising Leeds to keep the stand height down as low as possible, while acknowledging it will be higher because of better terrace step heights and a cantilever roof. It is not a show stopper, just a technical issue.
