It wasnt exactly the head, and tbh I wouldnt have complained had he got banned. It shows how bad the reffing is when Lockers doesnt get at least a yellow but Coley gets one last friday.

Quote: Gotcha "Don't know about that, but interesting that both Fielden and O'Carroll have both been pulled for raising the knee in the tackle this season, and both have received a caution for it.

Surely Wigan fans would now retrospectively like to see those players banned for the offence?'"

Honestly cant remember them, but if they were as bad as the Bailey one then we couldnt have complained.

Depends how you look at it:

Follow your troll view and you get the above. A more balanced view may result in the following:

Nick Scrutons careless/unintentional spear tackle.
Lee Smith kicking out in the tackle attempting to re gain his feet.
Keith senior...see above.
Carl Abletts shoulder charge on Tomkins (Obviously didnt decapitate him did he..if he had his head would have come off...it didnt..if was back playing in the next phase of play).

As bad as the Bailey one? What planet are you living on?

A raised knee is a raised knee. That is all Bailey did on Friday, nothing more. On that basis the precedent for a raised knee is a caution, bearing in mind two players from just the one club have already received that this season.

Q: When is a raised knee not a raised knee?

A: When it is committed by Ryan Bailey or against a Wigan player, it then becomes attempted murder. d040.gif

Well I know which way your looking at it, the biassed way. Get a grip mate, it wasnt a shoulder charge. It was a disgracefull effort that should result in a ban. Coley got sent off a few weeks back and got a 2 match ban, I had no arguments about that and completely agreeed, and that wasnt as bad as . So why dont you try the unbiassed approach. Maybe Tomkins should stay down longer next time and milk it abit longer rather than toughing it out, would that make you happy.

Are you really that stupid? Calm down for 2 seconds and point out where I said Bailey should be banned? All ive said is that if Bailey gets a ban, then I agree that the Wigan players should got on aswell and that we couldnt have complained if they had. All we want is some consistency. Im sorry if i worded it badly but I havent said Bailey should get banned, tbh i dont think he should.

Some of you are bloody touchy on this site icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm only interested to see how many games brother Joel gets for his unwarranted intervention that could have caused a mass brawl, just as we saw last Thursday at the Shay in similar circumstances.

If anything brother Joel did Leeds a favour on the night by creating a distraction and one which allowed his younger brother to demonstrate just how badly shook up he was (by the Ablett challenge) by attempting to join in.

Calm down love your slip is showing. Presenting an alternative view to the hysterical initial view thats all. My personal view on that one is that it was put on report and wil be dealt with by the disciplinary panel. Ablett will recieve whatever punishment they decide is correct and thats that.

As for your bleating on about Baileys raised knee being worse than pube heads and glass jaws..how so? a raised knee is a raised knee..think you need to sit in a dark room with no internet access for a few hours, your taking all this quite badly.

I havent said it was worse you really need to read before you post. I probably worded it badly for some of you simple folk, but it was in response to someone saying that us Wigan fans should want Fielden banned for the same offence. All i said is that if they were as bad then yes they should have.

Your text here implies that the raised knee committed by Bailey was somehow worse than the other two.

Or: If the raised knee commited by O'loughlin and Fielden were as bad as the one committed by Bailey those two would have been rightly banned and you wouldnt have complained. However as they were not as bad as the one committed by Bailey they recieved a warning only. As Baileys was worse he should be banned. icon_rolleyes.gif
