| Finch - average.
Hoffman - Class
Lima big soft lump. Made himself look like a numpty against the Warriors recently.

| Good luck to Wigan, I'm not sure that making such big changes just when you start showing some promise is the best thing to do, never worked for us.
Not seen any NRL since sky stopped it so I've no idea how good these lads are.

I think Finch is ok but not world class by any stretch of the imagination.
Hoffman is quality imo and Lima will have more impact than Fat feka ever had and can last longer than 3 drives.

I hope Ainscough gets a gig at a decent side and really kicks on if Wigan let him go. He may have weaknesses to his game but he's an exciting British player.'"

Oh look a touchy pie
All I said it that from my experience of being a Leeds fan and buying big name players for years and winning nothing until finally concentrating on the academy lads it's fair to say that IMO it doesn't guarantee anything for next year.
Wigan have finally started to show some promise and I would like to see them get more of the youngsters into the first team and win the title that way.
Good luck for next year but don't go around calling people crazy when they don't start pulling one of over your new signings.

He'll be too busy wiping "excitement" off his monitor to be able to read anything I would have thought...

Yea i did and your first one two where you basically siad it wasnt best to make 'such big changes'. Not touchy just makes me laugh when people say this and like you quite rightly pointed out you dont even watch the NRL so hwo can you form an opinion that these signings arent for the best??? We have a lot of youth at the club and mix in these signings then imo its great for the club. All 3 can be seen as direct replacements for other overseas players that will most likley be leaving.

| I'll be worried about what Wigan are doing when they actually win something on the pitch and not when they sign players from Australia which every club does every year, sadly for our game.

Don't do that - keep them instead. You know you want to really.

For the love of god
I have not got a clue who any of these players are, I'm not commenting on the individuals.
You will have 4-5 players leaving, 4-5 players coming in, players switching positions (TL)
That's what I mean by big changes and it doesn't always work, I'm not saying it wont, you may go unbeaten all season and win the GF 100-0 I've no idea.
Like I said I'm a Leeds fan, we have signed much bigger players than these 3 in the past to no avail, when we finally won it in 2004 we had 10 academy lads in the first team, I know which approach I now favour.

| From a Wigan perspective i think that after this season, the supporters trust Madge to know what he is bringing over from Australia - he knows these players as much as anyone, particularly Finch who he worked with at Canberra.
In the past it seems we signed some players purely off past reputation and many of them failed to live up to expectation.
On paper, the players coming in seem to be an improvement on those leaving.
