also, I thought the atmosphere yesterday was one of the best we've had-especially seeing as we were missing so many fans. Though it wasn't helped by the so-called 'singing bunch'. Not only did they object to the drum, they also refused to join in nay song they didn't start. Bastards.

it's the darn filter thing. There's nothing 'artificial' about having a drum-it's a choice between 20 ed up blokes at the back on their own, and the entire away end-the latter's preferable. 20 guys can't generate enough noise, or be clearly enough understood, to get everyone else to join in. A drum does what you can't.

IIRC they can manage it and have done on previous occasions.

Its a deffo marmite situation, you either love it or hate it. Im not botherd either way as there usually is a decent atmosphere at away game anyway.

That said having someone scream the shoot the (insert team here) scum and songs about RL players genatalia and certain players being paedophiles and the like are not everyones cup of tea and do go beyond the boundaries of taste.

Look back to beyond the "band" days, the South Stand coped without a drum and trumpet, now a days the best games are away ones as you dont have numpties jumping around as their not Bulls
