| Sorry people. I'm not convinced that we should be using up valuable salary capacity on a utility player who cannot claim a regular spot in his own team.
If there is potential, then let someone else spend the next couple of years taking the risk that he may develop, and if he does, that would be the time to think about waving the cheque book in Ratchford's direction.

| Ablett would be my first choice 2nd row when fit. Always said he'd be a star when he was in the academy at loose. That year or so at centre really didn't help his development though.
As for Ratchford, he's always impressed me when he's played us but how good is he if he can't hold down a place at (no disrespect meant) Salford. Or is that down to McRea?

| Mind you ... Salford wanted rid of Ambler for various reasons and he seems to be coming along quite nicely

| If he was happy to join on the basis of clearly being a reserve half back/bench player then I'd have no problems with that. He may well though...

| Tansey can be very hit or miss......even in the same game.
He can produce something wonderful then squeeze out a huge turd.
His real quality is his ability to sniff out something out of nothing.
But the problem with him playing fullback every week is the fact that it will leave him exposed. Errors in this area can kill a team. I'd have him in the middle of the park where he can have a positive input in a game but with the security of others around him to clean up for him.
