It is a long season. Plus it probably will take a while for the competitive juices to get flowing having won 3 on the trot. Leeds will definitely be 'up' for the WCC - we've all read things that clearly suggest the players' minds aren't entirely focused on the league with that coming up - and I suspect we'll have an almighty effort at the Challenge Cup as well.

One thing that also shouldn't be overlooked is that this year a whole batch of clubs look to have improved on last year. That makes it very unlikely you'll have a top two by as big a margin as in previous years. Nobody was going to get through this year with just one or two losses.

So you're happy with 1 win from 3 with the 1 unconvincing win coming against the team that were bottom by miles last year? According to another thread on here your early season games were going to be so easy that people were almost embarrassed at that way the RFL were "spoon feeding" you a nice gentle build up to the WCC.

It's good to see the Saints fans back now that they have finished booing and recorded a victory over the high flying Bulls. Is it the fact they managed to score more than 10 points in one game that is making them so giddy.

No i'm not overly chuffed no-one likes to lose but describing it how you have above is laughable.
As for an unconvincing win the game iirrc lasts 80 minutes and when i last checked we won by 28 pts away from home in the snow so i'd of taken that before the match.
As for the other "thread" playing 2 play-off teams,a team that beat us at home and the newly re-located Crusaders was never gonna be "embarrassingly easy" but fixtures we were confident in winning.
It hasn't turned out that way and we lost to the better teams but again how you described it is typical of the reaction from you lot as showed after the Hull match.

Thing is we have lost to Cas and Wakey and both teams normally give us at least 1 good game a year, so now they are out of the way normal service will be resumed

By the way Harry, how did your guys start in 2007? A loss to Wakey and Quins in your 1st 3 wasnt it? Remind me what position you finished in the League.

I like Leeds to win, I prefer watching a good game of Rugby even if Leeds lose (apart from a final which is win at all costs) but its' all out of my control and I don not get worked up about it if we lose.

So, you may as well go looking elsewhere for the kind of over the top reaction to these defeats that you're seeking. A good place to start might be looking at your own forum the week after the Hull defeat. You'll get the kind of hysteria there that you're seeking here.

Its' easy to take 2 league defeats on the chin when you've created the kind of history we have these last three consecutive years.
