Indeed, with Tomkins and Leuluai it would seem strange. I would suggest Deacon to Celtic would be more likely than Deacon to Wigan.

| Mainly in a coaching capacity, also emergency playing cover according to the pies' board. In that context it seems fair enough.

Why would anyone...... even Bradford.
(Crusaders would make a lot of sense though teaming back up with Noble)
That said Leuluai is a far better hooker than he'll ever be a scrum half although with Riddell (is he still there next year?) and McIlorum that won't happen either.

| If the salary details are to be believed, I can see another 'Harris' style player revolt up at Odsal.
Great player. Purely financial move as there's no way he'll win anything during his 3 years under Super MacNamaraicon_smile.gif

| Great player hope he goes well in SL and if Bradford want to pay a 31 year old £280'000 a year for 3 years then thats up to them.

Not really making too much of an effort to disguise his motives.

In a way I kind of respect him for not doing so, but what a strange thing for Bradford to do - sign an outstanding but ageing Aussie on big money when there's a perfectly serviceable British incumbent already in the position. Oh hang on a minute.......

| Bradford on paper look strong in places but still having some shocking backs and the coaching is real issue imo. I think this will take the edge off losing burgess for the dulls fans but is only papering over the cracks! When your 6, 7 and 9 are all Aussies it's not a good sign.

The Kangaroos fielded Aussies at 6,7 and 9 on Saturday and they did alright.

| At least he is (or certainly was) a class act & someone we've all heard of, L'Estrange & Kearney (not Steven) who are they?
Plus with Hall that makes 4 aussies the Bulls have signed this year, with Menzies all this is really going to help England/GB, & this from the national team's assistant coach.
No wonder we're in the you know what internationally.

at least bradford are sticking to the 6 player overseas limit and not using rule changes to squeeze in an extra overseas player like some clubs are doing
