| Personally I have no problem with any player flogging medals and gear. Football players have never been given stick for selling medals etc to raise dosh and they have usually had better than average wages during their careers. On the plus side it gives fans a chance to own matchworn shirts (note the club have cottoned on to this as well, but at least the proceeds go to the Rugby foundation). For a comparison check out resale prices being asked for matchworn Leeds Utd shirts (anything from £300 to £1000).

Is that the bitter bint that heads his ex-missus' fan club? She sounds lovely!

How else would the seller have a pic of JP signing the boots????
I've heard on good authority that Hetherington is looking to sell players on eBay, starting with, ironically, Keith Senior.

| I think it's an inditement of our sport that they feel they have to do this. These are two of our highest earners. Perhaps if the cap was more sensible and merely based on % of turnover to prevent overspending on wages we wouldn't see this.

Unlike in football, where your ex-manager took brown paper bags full of money as part of deals to transfer players? Oh right, you were a Leeds United supporter at that time so it doesn't count.

Anyone who thinks underhand payments still don't happen in football, or any sport for that matter, is seriously deluded.
Every mega rich footballers would probably be susceptible to a bag of tax free dosh in a brown paper bag. Certain Chelsea left backs spring to mind.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

| What is out of order is the guys that get players to photos with the sole intention of selling them - there one at the Rhinos who has caarier bags full and a small crew of bods to get the autographs

It's probably not something I would do. But as I never worked hard enough to earn myself a RL career, I'm in no real position to judge.
I don't think he's doing anything wrong. And I also suspect that if the club thought he was doing something wrong then they'd have put a stop to it. As it is I think they treat the situation as a player's personal choice whether they want to value their own personal items as valuable to them or just something that can earn extra income.
The only reason you're probably against it is because Arsene Wenger doesn't allow Arsenal players to do it.
