I agree,it seems ridiculous that someone is forced to take down a photo of what is commonly available to view by any interested member of the human race.

Its not as if its a picture from Hello magazine who have paid for the rights to some celebs wedding and someone has sneeked out a photo.

This is a retail brochure,the whole point of which is to advertise their stock lines so if anything they would be happy for the more people to see it as possible.

If this is some kind of copyright breach then we really have hit rock bottom when it comes to this PC world

It's also the largest and one which the copyright holders monitor! Hence the solicitors letters we receive! Perhaps I should just pass on the details of those users who are breaching copyright and let them deal direct?

I wouldn't say largest, i could name 5 that are bigger and contain solely illegal content and they've been going for some time

As Southstander has pointed out, it is simply the law of the land and while I suspect ISC will probably not complain I respect the sites wish to stay within the law. By knowingly allowing copyrighted image to be posted is breaking the law.

You can of course post a link, which has been done, not removed and is above!

I think that is totally wrong! I think it is one of the best moderated sites and as such we don't have posts deleted for the sake of it. They do however choose to keep the site within the law... what is wrong with that?

Nothing's wrong with it, I understand fully RLfans wants to keep its integrity and reputation (as well as not having to go to court) - obviously this helps with advertising revenue as well so can't argue.

Just saying, as far as allowing copyrighted material it's pretty strict - but with good reason obviously.

A link is fine because ISC will not object to people going on their site, as a business thats what they want
thats why pics will be a problem, because then you can see the shirt without going on their site

Southstander.com has every right to protect his own position and it really is a cheek of posters on here to question what he does when we all enjoy the free benefits given to us by the site he hosts.
