I challenge anyone to stick more than 5 mins of god tv.

I have absolutely no problem with Christians or any other religion for that matter, but god tv is ridiculous...

"From our broadcasting station on Mount Zion bringing you....." "Dial 0800 MIRACLE now and donate $1000 so we can put another angel (satellite) in the sky"! etc

Just like "Lost" and several other series that ran for 100 episodes too long, they were loss leaders designed to keep studio technicians gainfully employed during slack winter months while at the same time lose the studio shed-loads of money that could be written off against next years tax bill.

Unfortunately they became popular, made vast profits, and created huge tax liabilities thus forcing the studios to dig even deeper and ressurect Baywatch in a desperate attempt to make a huge loss on something before the April 4th tax deadline.

You can understand some confused, deluded, drug fuelled writer penning such series but you have to wonder who the fekk commissioned them.

I have aproblem with religions but that's a whole different debate on a different thread!

as far as tv goes I never really found the mighty boosh that funny either. there are a few very underated comedies IMO these are

operation good guys
nightingales
dark place
human remains

I'm rapidly going off Top Gear.
It's becoming a parody of itself.
3 smarta*ses indulging themselves at the licence payer's expense.

I never really "got" Top Gear in the first place, its not a programme about cars at all, its a programme about how fast they can go and how badly the presenters can drive them.

They sell it everywhere and it makes the BBC a fortune.

I too am going off it though. I noticed that the "star in a resaonably priced car" is slowly beginning to morph into "star there to plug their new film".

Has anyone ever watched Top Gear and thought, "Now there's a car I could afford!"

Yeah, they did one with the Mums at one point, Hammond has done a piece on the Astra, May did one on the V70 etc etc.

I like Top Gear. Its a good laugh especially when they do the challenges. Its alot more informal than its nearest rival - 5th Gear which is part of the reason i enjoy it more.

I've never got Top Gear and, I am pleased to say, i do not fall into the category of bloke who thinks Clakrson is great. I think Clarkson is a grade A tw*t who I would not get tired of punching.

Its the same with any celebrity appearance on any chat show, or other show.

Celeb gets free publicity, program gets to fill 10mins of airtime.

I enjoy Top gear, and have little interest in cars. I just find it a decent entertainment program
