You can only beat what's in front of you as they say, but it was good to see Sinfield playing as a proper halfback. He really does have a good temperament and that sense that he knows what he's trying to do. Also made up for Hooley. He may be leaving but I'm so pleased he's shown that he's a decent player after what was a terrible debut.

Hooley is realistically going to be 3rd choice next year eith Edgell breathing down his neck aswell, a move to somewhere like Cas where he will be 1st second choice will be the best move for him, hes a decent player and has s good eye for the try line

How did the debutants go? Is there any chance Nicholson-Watton can save us needing to recruit another prop. (I think we still need one front line prop but would be nice if the reserves come from within)

Good way to finish the season, lots of work to do now, but always good to get into the prep for next season on a positive

Was there any news on Newman? He went off feeling his hamstring again. He seemed to be struggling with it for a while before he was replaced. Also Fusitua went off, not sure what the problem was with him.

Got the feeling Newman was precautionary. Didn't notice Fus come off. In any case, they'll both have a full pre-season for the first time in a long time.

Well thank god we finished on a positive. Well done young sinfield that will do him a huge amount of good going into the offseason. It really surprised me how he took control, there’s a player there isn’t there and I’m delighted. Needs a lot of time yet and cas were awful but a good news story.

Very quick with the ball without Cam Smith slowing it down .Sinfield will be good but still very young .Johnson looked good at hooker .
Best was Austin who showed exactly why he wasn’t offered a new contract,.

Sinfields intercept was such a great read, that he pinched the ball off Austin was a bonus.

Watching the highlights back it was great to see how involved he was in most trys.

Both did fine. TMW is not very tall but too early to say if will make a good SL player. For next year we need another prop imo.
Going out on loan may be best for TMW to bring him on.
Edgell looked to be playing at 6 at the end. It got a bit messy with fusi and Newman off.

Yeah, Johnson is a better passer, that first ball makes such a difference.
