| Quote: D4mo78 "I thought it was brilliant fullback play. He wrapped up the ball which so many fail to do. We've seen Zak do similar and issue high praise'"
Now don't go poking the bears with sticks. You must know it's heresy to mention that there are other good fullbacks about. Look at the trouble I got in when I suggested ZH was a bit lacking in the FB attacking department. To hint that there are other FBs that might be quite good in defense is pushing your luck. I mean heaven forbid if I were to suggest that Zak might have missed tackling Hull try scorer Houghton or that he might, just might have been a bit casual in covering across for their first try, well I mean someone will have a fit. So best we just keep this between ourselves for now.

I agree. Ablett made the mistake of turning the top of his body side on as he made the fend and Shaul was able to wrap both arms around Ablett's arms and as they went down he got underneath so he was unable to ground the ball. You are right, Ablett should have kept square on to the line with the aim of diving over. But very good work from Shaul non the less.

Well we play Saints and Wigan just before the split. If the punishment is only 2 games then send on expendable players to injure Wigan and Saints key players.
Utterly pathetic from the RFL. They talk a good game but never follow through with their big talk about player welfare. A weak decision from a weak, shambolic and leaderless organisation.

A very clear msg sent by the rfl here, a kin to crime does pay.
Really poor decision and no concern for player safety.

indeed, could even do it Friday, they are already struggling for playmakers, get Yates to take out Houghton or shaul, take his ten mins in the bin (we would Barely notice) and 2 match ban go through to the next round

I am genuinely shellshocked.....look out for more despicable actions by many more players. It really does beggar belief. Spitting and name callling are obviously far worse than potential career ending gbh in the eyes of the RFL if not (yet) the law of the land.

I think it's probably more that you (and Sal) seem to expect that bit closer to perfection for this one guy over any other. Anything short of that expected perfection has to be highlighted above and beyond any other individual's failings.
Name me who you consider to be the 'complete and faultless' FB in SL....and indeed who you would prefer at FB for Leeds (and you cannot include BJB who is now long gone)

| Genuine question - Grade D offence carries a 3 to 5 match ban, so how does weasel Syned only cop for 2 games???
He's either guilty - 3 to 5 games ban or not guilty - 0 games ban.

Come on....we all know all clubs have got their cerebrally challenged element amongst their ranks and others will make a statement in the heat of the moment.
Whoever you support we should all be condemning such 'tackles' and even more so the leniency of the ridiculous RFL who cannot even follow their own goddamn rules.

Looks like I've been found out due to the uproar over his subsequent injury, but I'm untouchable so who cares. How long will I carry on with my agenda against McGuire, who knows, he will be out for a while so it doesn't apply. Will I judge a decision in future based on what has happened rather than the players involved, probably not, as I've said already I'm untouchable."

Danny Houghton let himself down big time on Sunday. To see a pro player shoving and berating a fellow pro who is lying injured on the floor was sickening. I don't wish any bad injuries on Houghton but would not feel any pity should one occur. Houghton used to be one of my favourite players in Superleague but only he knows why he did what he did on Sunday.

Think you'll find it's just trying to highlight the rubbish decision being made by the disciplinary to an act of foul play that could've have serious consequences that why not make it open season if people aren't getting properly punished for their crimes.
I seriously doubt any of them are sat watching on Friday with their fingers crossed actually praying for a Hull guy to get hurt.

| A very surprising penalty to say the least. It was a very nasty tackle and to only ban Sneyd for 2 games sends out a strange and contradictory message. It would appear that who you are and who you play for on either end of the tackle may have some influence on the penalty awarded by the muppets on the disciplinary panel. If that tackle had been made by a certain Salford player I feel fairly confident that the resulting ban would not have been 2 games. I don't want the lad hung out to dry and I deplore the daft chat about sending junior squad members out to take out opposing players, though I don't think either poster was actually advocating such tactics. Rather I suspect that they were pointing out how a cynical coach might seek advantage out of this bizarre ruling. But I do think that the penalty awarded to Sneyd and Hull is too lenient and brings the game into disrepute.
